Artwalk - Shangyuan Art Museum
CCartwalk offers our art lovers the first artwalk in 2022, 9th of April.
We have customized a day arty outing in Huairou district, to visit Chinese contemperay Ink art artist Zhang Zhaohui 张朝晖，and Shangyuan Art Museum and Chinese contemperary artists studios.
Shangyuan Art Museum is a modern art museum, a private museum, and it was established in 2007. It hosts an International Residency Programme, with participants coming from all around the world.
There are 21 representive well-known Chinese and international contemperary artists with their studios in Shangyuan Art Museum.
We are going to visit about 3-4 artist studios. The names of artists will be confirmed one week before the artwalk.

Since the reform and opening-up, with the influence of global art ideas contemporary ink artists have demonstrated the unique selection of the tradition, endowed aged ink brush painting with contemporary concept and vision. They have found the accurate junctions between traditional contemporary, eastern western, manifesting the brand new art languages different from the past. Thus Chinese ink brush painting becomes more accessible to the international art lovers, due to its ability to touch people's aesthetic feeling.

Zhang's art works
Zhang Zhaohui, born in 1965 in Hebei, is a professional artist, and liberal arts researcher living and working in Beijing. He studied in Bard College from 1996 to 1998 with Master Degree in Contemporary Art, and reviewed contemporary art in USA with surpportment of The Rockedfeller Foundation. Zhang's recent major exhibitions include: Curitiba Biennale, Museu Oscar Niemeyer, Brazil, (2017); An Ink Trio of Abstraction, The Research House for Asian Art, Chicago (2016); Ink interpretation-International Contemporary Art Exhibition Tour, Inside-Out Art Museum, Beijing, Brussels, Chicago (2015); Amnue International Project-in/outsource: International Contemporary Art Exhibition, Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts, Nanjing (2014); Mountains and Water, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Fukuoka (2014) and so on. His works were collected by The Art Institute of Chicago, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum,The Macao Museum of Art ,Inside-out Art Museum, Deji Art Museum,Baijiahu Art Museum and so on.
CCartwalk is a social platform that informs and offers the expatriate community opportunities to participate in, and share their knowledge of music, art, and crafts in China.
