★学校简介★
The Junior and Senior School 成立于1944年，起初只有小学部。2003年中学部设立了12-18年的教育范畴，纳入IGCSE和A级资格考试。2016年3月，搬到了尼科西亚Latsia的新地点。这为我们提供了最先进的技术及21世纪的设施，包括广泛的运动场和两个游泳池，一个健身房戏剧工作室，专业的音乐和录音室以及设备齐全的科学实验室。总共有650名左右的学生。学生来自30多个国家，超过14种语言；工作人员也来自世界各地。

Chinese Cypriot Student or student who had taken Chinese lessons before, it is ok for them to choose Chinese subject as their IGCSE as their second foreign language?
中国学生必须在7到9岁的时候学习希腊语，因为这是部委的规章制度。我们没有中国教师，但我们鼓励中国学生取得GCSE或A-level。中国学生不需要学习其他外语，如法语、西班牙语，因为大多数人喜欢花时间提高他们的英语。
Chinese students have to take Greek in Years 7-9 at Senior as this is a Ministry regulation. We do not have Chinese teachers but we encourage our Chinese students to take the GCSE or A level in Chinese. Chinese students are not required to learn another foreign language eg French, Spanish as most prefer to spend that time improving their English.

Every year how many times has entrance exams, except English what other foreign languages need to study? What options of languages for them to choose as foreign languages？
每年三月有一次入学考试，学生要参加数学、英语和非语言推理（如 模式/智商）考试，这主要是为了升入7年级。然而，学生可以在每年的任何时候向学校申请，并将参加入学考试。
There is one Entrance Exam per year in March where students take a test in Maths, English and non-verbal reasoning (eg patterns / IQ). This is mainly for entry into Year 7. However, a student can apply to come to the school at any time of the year and will sit a test on their own.

My child like very much the art. I would like to ask if the school has good art teacher or good grogram for art？

All students study art once a week in Years 7-9. They can then choose it in IGCSE and A level. We have had good results in these external exams. There is also an Art club after school. We have 2 fully qualified Art teachers in our school.

What is the entrance exam? How many Chinese students until now we have in the school？
我们初中和高中共有26名中国学生。初中入学考试是英语书面评估和英语阅读理解。高中，则是英语的数字测试，数学和非语言推理。最后的部分是给非英语母语人士展示他们潜力的机会。
We have 26 Chinese students across both Junior and Senior School. The Entrance exam for Junior School is a written assessment in English and Maths with a reading comprehension in English. At Senior it is a digital test in English, Maths and non-verbal reasoning. The last section has no language giving non-native speakers the opportunity to show their potential.

月亮：学校更看重学生的综合能力,还是某个领域的专业素养？孩子英语基础比较差，能跟的上吗？
School focus on the comprehensive ability or one area professionalism？
我们不专攻任何一门学科。我们提供所有科目教育，并且我们的学生在这些科目上均取得了优秀成绩。我们的英语和数学成绩非常优秀，在外语、商业科目如经济学和表演艺术如音乐和戏剧，我们也有很好的成绩。
We do not specialize in any one subject. We offer all subjects and students achieve good grades in all of them. However, we have very strong English and Maths results and we also have good results in foreign languages, business subjects eg economics and performing arts eg Music and Drama.
学校放学后提供助学课，帮助孩子们学习英语、数学和科学。当孩子们从中国来的时候，我们提供密集的英语课来帮助他们赶上课程。
The school offers booster lessons after school to help children in English, Maths and Science. When children arrive from China, we offer intensive English lessons to help them to catch up with a specialist TESOL teacher.

上海李@@：请问学校是英系的吗？我们孩子在国内读的A-level，请问贵校最近三年A-level的A～A*的比例能有多少？
How many percent of students can go to resell group or lvy league. There are student went to Cambridge and oxford University . how many percent of A*- A for A level last year?
我们每年大约有50%的学生去罗素大学。少量学生去美国。我们去年有大约33% A*-A水平，增长了10%。在过去我们没有针对性的甄选学生，所以任何学生都可以来。这就是为什么这些结果比其他学校低一点的原因。但是每一年都在上升，我们现在在第7年通过能力选择学生，这也会有帮助。这意味着去年预测大约有25%的学生为A*-A，而实际上有33%的学生获得了A*-A。所以学生在我们学校取得了很大的进步。在过去的三年里，我们有3名学生去剑桥。
About 50% of our students go to Russell Group universities each year. A smaller number go to the USA. We have had around 33% A*-A at A level last year. This was an increase of 10% on the last year. In the past we did not select students, so anyone could come. This is why these results are a bit lower than other schools. Every year they are going up and we are now selecting students by ability in Year 7 which will also help. Also we add a great deal of value. This means that last year around 25% of students were predicted A*-A and actually 33% got A*-A. So students make great progress in our school. In the last three years we have had 3 students going to Cambridge.

尼科西亚杭州龚：请问学校是不是每年每个年级（特别是高一、高二）都接受插班生？每个年级插班生招收名额有限制吗？
If there is place for grade 10 and grade 11, it is ok for Chinese student from other school to enter senior school?
除了13年级，其他年级的学生我们只要有学位名额都会接收。
Yes we accept students into any year except Year 13 if there is space.

帕福斯武汉甄：请问对艺术专长(钢琴)生学校可以提供什么样的师资条件？学校近几年有成功考入德国艺术类院校的学生吗？
My child has talent on piano. The Junior Senior school can provide good teacher? is there any student entered good music University ?
我们不提供私人音乐教师作为所有学生学习一般音乐。不过，我们可以推荐好的老师。过去，我们已经有学生进入英国的音乐学院学习，如Trinity Laban 学习。
We do not offer private music teachers as all students study general music. However, we can recommend someone. We have had students entering Musical conservatoires in the UK in the past eg Trinity Laban to study Music.

帕福斯心情：我们已经预约报名贵校了，不知今年小学一年级大约得提前多久才能有名额录入？
My Child already did application for grade1， when I can get news if this year has place for my child or not .
由于我们初中排满了候补名单，如果有位置空出，我们会联系你（例如果另一个孩子离开学校，我们按申请顺序补录学生）。
As we are full with a waiting list in Junior School we will contact you if a place comes up eg if another child leaves the school and it is your turn on the waiting list which we work down in order.
