beijingkids School Choice Guide 2018-2019 Is Here

KIPP WHITTAKER BJkids 2019-04-02

Just as the year is new, so is our latest and greatest beijingkids’ School Choice Guide. It might not be our most fun-to-read issue, especially as more often than not tuition prices are the first thing that our eyes shoot to look at. However, this issue is likely our most important, as it is highly informative for Beijing’s expat families.

It’s a labor of love to gather up the many details about these schools gracing the pages of our little magazine, and giving them the perfect platform to show off their hard work pushing our young students along to new and more educated heights. This issue is a big reminder that there are a lot of schools and a variety of curricula to choose from in Beijing.

So, where do you begin? This guide is a great place to start, especially if you are fresh off the boat and have had little to no instruction regarding international schools. The whole purpose of this issue is to be your go-to source for all of the necessary information

Here, you’ll find up-to-date profiles that include all of the essentials such as tuition, curriculum, school size, and languages offered, along with a list of all of the fun electives and facilities that are available to students attending these schools. In addition to this, we have added a QR code for all of the schools listed that will link you to not only their listings and contact info on the beijingkids website, but also all of the recent blog and magazine articles where they have been mentioned. This will give you an even better perspective about the school and their campus culture.

This year we also examined the prices we pay for an international school education along with scholarship opportunities that exist to counter these costs, our beijingkids parent board dropped some truths about the critical questions you need to be asking when school hunting, and Hamilton Gregg expressed his thoughts on what high schools and their students should be doing besides testing well to get into great colleges. Finally, we examined seven different curriculums available to you in the capital with some help from the schools where they are offered and some of the families attending these schools.

Isn’t having easy access to this info much better than leaving your child’s future up to chance? Let beijingkids be your bridge to education in Beijing and your supplement for the upcoming Beijing International School Expo going on at the Renaissance Capital Hotel on Jan 13-14. This will be the best opportunity you have this year to check out numerous schools at one convenient location. We hope to see you there!

Make sure to join us Jan 13-14 at the Beijing International School Choice Expo. Find more information here and make sure you register before you attend so we know how many cups of coffee we need to brew!
