Everybody’s favorite piglet is coming to the Jing, to celebrate the Year of the Pig!
Peppa Pig has had a sometimes rocky relationship with the Chinese authorities, and was at one point reported to have been banned. However a nicely-judged New Year promotional video (see below) won hearts across the land. And now Peppa Pig and her family are going to be appearing at a Beijing theater.
Peppa Pig Live has been described as “a rollicking, all singing, dancing interactive adventure” and “a treat for your little one’s eyes and ears”. Peppa goes on a camping trip with her school friends Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep, and Gerald Giraffe. With Daddy Pig driving the bus, you can expect misadventure, games, and lots of laughter.
The performances take place at Beijing Comedy Theatre on March 2 and 3. Tickets are available from 247tickets.com/t/peppa-pig-live-peppa-pigs-celebration-beijing. But don’t wait around, it’s likely to sell out fast!
