Primary and Secondary Schools’ Winter Vacation Cal Announced

As students prepare to return to school starting from Sep 1, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced the upcoming school year’s holiday calendar via their official WeChat account. According to the newly issued calendar, this year’s winter holidays will start on Jan 30, 2021.

In their post, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission emphasized that the calendar is based on the current status of COVID-19 in Beijing and is subject to change should the circumstances change.

In the event that the Municipal Government Emergency Office issues red warnings for heavy air pollution and other extreme weather warnings, each of Beijing’s district education committees will be required to follow the relevant requirements of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission’s Emergency Plan for Heavy Air Pollution.
