The 6th International Book Fair Picture Book Exhibition 


The arrival of colder weather usually means more time spent indoors… and what better way to spend it than with a good book? This year’s International Book Fair Picture Book Exhibition sure is a big one, showcasing books in multiple languages across a two-story exhibition space. Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Disney princesses are among the featured themes, and there will be a range of immersive experiences to enjoy, including a jungle adventure.

How to Carve a Pumpkin 


They are the masters of carving filet mignon, and now O’Steak is proving that they can turn those skills towards a spooky theme! Each Saturday and Sunday from now until Halloween, the restaurant will be hosting two special two-hour pumpkin carving workshop for kids 4-10 years old. Parents are welcome to come along and enjoy the fun, as well as sample their extensive wine list. Reservations are required as each workshop is limited to eight children, and each ticket includes a drink and snacks for kids and adults alike.

Sat-Sun, 10-12am and 3-5pm. O’Steak. RMB 98 for one child and one adult.

Kid's Club Hike in The Rolling Hills 


Get out into the countryside this Sunday with a dedicated Kids Club hike in the aptly named Rolling Hills. This area is great for families because there are lots of options for shorter and longer hikes, as well as plenty to see and do, and a fun playground at the end. You’ll see farmland and animals, a pine forest, shepherds trails, not to mention the beautiful fall colors that are starting to show. This outing is best for ages six and up. Younger kids could walk in places but would need to be carried for some parts.

From 8.30am. Pickup locations in Liangmaqiao and Lido. RMB 390 / RMB 350 members / RMB 200 for kids 7–12 / RMB 160 for kids 4–6
