As part of our Blank Canvas series, we invited students from Beijing Enlighten School (BES) to share their artwork and inspirations.
“I looked up many pictures online and
chose a painting of space to paint myself. It took four days to
complete.” - April Hao (KG)
“This is a painting on the cover of my exercise book. It represents infinite possibilities.” - Char Lie (Grade 6)
“We worked as a group to create this
piece. We painted the sections before decorating each part in a unique
way.” - Bradley Johnson, Maverick Johnson, Richard Wang (KG and Grade 1)

“I originally wanted to draw a night sky
but I wasn’t happy with the result so I stuck some decorations on top
of it.” - Snow Yang (Grade 4)
“I painted mountains and trees, and the earth, which are made up of many colors.” - Bradley Johnson (Grade 1)
“I drew this painting because I wanted
my schoolmates to better understand me and I like art, so I drew myself
with watercolor. The background is blue because I like swimming and I
drew a cat because I have a cute cat.” - Cindy Gao (Grade 4)
“This is my handcrafted gift for my teachers.” - Hanya Suo (Grade 4)
