One of the biggest drives for veganism throughout the world, apart from the health benefits, is a cruelty-free world for animals. Pet lovers from all walks of life continue to share inspiring stories of how adopting their furry friends became their driving force towards a vegan lifestyle. Well, on December 26, the Beijing Vegan Community by Redthread Artful Living 艺术生活, in association with 初相 Chu Xiang – a pet-friendly, vegan-friendly cafe and adoption center – are hosting a holiday dinner and adoption party. It’s the perfect event if you promised the kiddos you’d adopt a puppy for Christmas; they’ll only have to wait a day!

There will be three menus on offer:

- Avocado or tofu Z-Rou burger, fries and a grapefruit red at RMB 99
- Malay Nyonya noodles, flaxseed and coconut yogurt, and Bundaberg grapefruit and ginger beer at RMB 88
- Tofu, avocado, and sesame miso bowl, tofu lotus, berry banana, and oats smoothie at RMB 99
