It’s happening again. WeChat groups are flooding with news (and sometimes rumors) of the latest Covid-19 outbreak in various parts of Beijing. And it’s only natural that we feel both annoyed and exhausted by the news. After all, we’ve been dealing with it for a year now…

This Throwback Thursday we’re taking a look at the blogs beijingkids wrote about this time last year when the pandemic first hit – and it hit us hard.

And this time last year many of us finally decided to make full use of our kitchen for the first time, and beijingkids was there to share some classic Chinese New Year dishes with our readers.

We’ve been through this before, and our city is much better prepared and experienced at handling Covid-19. With a vaccine already being offered, this latest outbreak will be behind us soon.
