Here at Jingkids, we love stories; stories that make us laugh, stories that make us cry, and stories that share our unique perspectives of the world. There are so many young and powerful voices out there that we have yet to tap into, so we seek to change that today with the announcement of the Jingkids Creative Writing Competition!
Starting from October, we will publish selected entries of creative writing on the jingkids Official WeChat account every week. Entries have to be in line with the theme and be written in clear English without the use of offensive language. Every entry must be the entrant’s own and wholly original work, which must not have been published on any other media platform before, previously used as a class assignment, or won a prize at other writing contests. All entrants must be between 13 - 18 years of age and reside within Beijing at the time of submission and publication. Kindly note that each participant may submit only one entry per theme.
October's Theme: HORROR STORIES
For the month of October, the theme will be - you guessed it - horror stories!
We welcome entries in both prose and poetry form, so feel free to submit a haiku, a short story (below 250 words), or a novella (up to 1,000 words).
One winning entry will be handpicked at the end of every month and receive prizes from our generous sponsors.
Submissions for October's publication will begin starting today so send us your creative writing piece with your full name, age, contact number, and email address so we can contact you if you win!
