Read-A-Story Video campaign is a platform for young kids all over Beijing to
read aloud their favorite books in a video, to share their love for reading
with our community. Today we hear about Santa's Day Off, from 10-year-old Charlie!
The
campaign was started with two goals - to encourage reading out loud – an
essential skill in life – and also to increase exposure to spoken English for beneficiaries of Angels Baseball Academy.
If
the name is unfamiliar, it is a non-profit school for underprivileged
local youth that seeks to train its students to win athletic
scholarships for overseas education.
We
are grateful to have received videos of readers as young as five years
old, proudly reading their favorite bedtime stories, from supportive
