As China gears up to celebrate the Chinese New Year and the Spring Festival holiday is right around the corner, here's a timely submission to our ongoing Read-A-Story video campaign where 8-year-old Happy reads to us her favorite book "Lunar New Year" by Hannah Eliot.
At the same time, we wanted to remind our dear readers to join the festivities by taking part in the jingkids Chinese New Year Celebration contest! Show us how you're celebrating the upcoming Chinese New Year by sending us a drawing and / or photograph of your Chinese New Year decorations, clothes, food, or some creative way to honor the CNY festivities, by the deadline (27th Jan).
You can also draw how you envision celebrating CNY in the capital this year; with fireworks, food, family and more! We would best appreciate color submissions for this theme!
One winning drawing and one winning photograph will be chosen based on both popular voting, as well as our sponsor's judgement. jingkids is thrilled to announce that Cultural Keys has generously sponsored the prizes for our contest. The winning drawing entrant will receive a "Rabbit Lord" DIY craft kit, while the photograph entrant will receive a gift card from Cultural Keys for customized calligraphy worth RMB 288!
Each entrant is allowed only one submission for the contest, so choose your medium wisely! Please send your entries with your full name, age and email address to web-editor@beijingkids.com by Friday 27th Jan, 2023!
We're looking forward to receiving your drawings and photographs!
Happy Celebrations!
