Easter Sunday is right around the corner and chocolate eggs and bunnies are popping up around the capital like, well, bunnies! We’ve selected a few top choices and will also show you how to search for all things Easter-related on local apps so you’ll be well-prepared for the upcoming festivities!

Comptoirs de France

Possibly the best-known bakery to expats in Beijing, Comptoirs always has something special for every holiday occasion, and Easter’s no different! This time they’ve got chocolate hens in medium (RMB 68) and large (RMB 158) sizes, chocolate rabbits in various poses (starting from RMB 68), and, of course, the classic chocolate eggs (from RMB 30), and lollipops (from RMB 19). If you prefer something a little less sweet, they’ve also got hot cross buns (RMB 68 for 6) and rabbit lemon cookies (RMB 25). Visit any of the 12 locations in Beijing or scan the QR code to order your Easter pastries now!

Venchi

You might have thought that this is an ice cream store just based on the giant ice cream cone decor from the outside, but this Italian franchise offers some of the fanciest chocolates in town. Opting for luxury over quantity, Venchi’s Easter eggs are almost palm-sized versions of their bestselling flavors – such as Nougatine (rich dark chocolate exterior with sweet crunchy nougat inside), Baciodidama (a pale pink exterior bellying the dark chocolate and biscuit center within) and Cremino (smooth white chocolate with hints of pistachio).

Other treats include chocolate hens, chicks, and bunnies (in milk and dark chocolate). Prices start from RMB 100 and the products are flying off the shelves so you better hurry down to one of their four Chaoyang locations to get them quickly.

Venchi has outlets in Sanlitun Taikooli, China World Mall, Hopson One, and Indigo Mall.
