What Makes A Great Graduation Gift?

High school graduation - that bittersweet celebration of years of hard work (or at least the last few months) that help decide where we will go from here. We've taken numerous photographs in the cap and gown, cried and laughed, but what about gifts?

The graduation gift business is full of fun novelty gifts and some are even practical - like monogrammed laundry bags so you won't accidentally wash someone else's dirty clothes - but do the fresh grads deserve something more?
