Every parent dreams of their child growing up with the freedom to express their creativity. Coding is a gateway of harnessing that creativity while honing the essential skill of problem-solving. Young Coders Academy (YCA) brings this summer an immersive tech learning experience to students 5 to 17 years old, to unlock their full potential through the art of coding!
Our goal is to empower the young learners with the essential skills to seamlessly transfer foundational concepts from one coding language to another. In an ever-evolving technological landscape, adaptability and flexibility are paramount. By fostering an environment that encourages exploration of multiple languages this summer, we ensure our young coders are ready to navigate and embrace new programming languages with ease.
Rest assured, we carefully consider age appropriateness in our curriculum. For our youngest learners in Early Years and Elementary School, we introduce drag and drop coding. This approach effectively imparts key computer science concepts, removing the hurdle of complex syntax and enabling them to grasp the fundamental concepts effortlessly, while we help Middle School and High School students transition to more intricate, syntax-based languages. They intuitively and conceptually comprehend the inner workings of these languages, facilitating a smooth transition to more advanced programming concepts.

In our programs, we prioritize fostering creativity and nurturing imagination among our younger students by integrating Sphero robots. Through the Sphero Edu Jr. and Sphero Edu platforms, Baby Coders and Mini Coders will dive deep into the exciting realm of programming these fun robots, allowing them to bring their imaginative ideas to life and craft interactive stories. By coding Sphero robots from an early age, we provide practical applications for essential math and science concepts.
Minecraft Education Edition transcends traditional gameplay boundaries by seamlessly integrating tools and features like the revolutionary "Code Builder". Through this powerful tool, Mini Coders and Junior Coders embark on a journey of learning programming concepts using block coding. This summer, our program will equip students with essential computational thinking skills as they are introduced into the world of variables, loops, and conditionals.

Designed explicitly for educational purposes, Minecraft Education Edition blends the captivating gameplay with the integration of coding. Students harness the platform's potential to construct intricate structures, automate tasks, or craft interactive elements within the game, fostering both creativity and logical thinking.
In our LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor program, we reinforce essential math and science concepts through engaging hands-on experiences. Mini Coders will focus on practical applications of measuring distances, calculating angles, and comprehending sensor inputs, fostering an understanding of these foundational principles.
By combining the fun and creativity of LEGO with the intellectual stimulation of robotics, our LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor program will spark a genuine interest in STEM fields. In this year's summer camp, we are thrilled to introduce young learners to the exciting world of Roblox Studio. As an open-ended platform, Roblox Studio empowers kids to unleash their creativity and problem-solving skills by creating their own games and experiences. Through this immersive journey, they will engage in critical thinking and learn to creatively solve problems.
What makes Roblox with Lua truly special is its ability to unlock the potential of Junior Coders in designing and building virtual worlds, characters, and interactive elements. By diving into game development, students can bring their ideas to life and express their unique creativity.
We are also very excited to foster creativity and innovation through the integration of Arduino and Raspberry Pi. This powerful combination offers a unique learning experience for young learners.
Teenage Coders will embark on an exciting journey into the realms of artificial intelligence and machine learning with Python. This module empowers students to develop creative solutions and explore the vast possibilities of Artificial Intelligence.
By combining Python programming with the fascinating field of AI, this module will develop technical skills, and will foster a mindset of curiosity, discovery, and innovation. It will prepare Teenage Coders to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology and empower them to make a positive impact in an AI-driven world.
We aim to inspire the love for coding in all of our young students. During the camp, they will immerse in programming alongside peers from all over the world, joined by a common curiosity and interest in technology.
