We send our kids to school to learn not just knowledge, but also to connect to the community at large. And let's not forget about the power of play and having fun! As October draws to a close, we take a look at some of the meaningful community and fun events that our kids' schools have been up to in the past month.
AISB-Hope International
Fall Fair
On Saturday, Oct 14, AISB-Hope International students and guests gathered for a community celebration like no other. The Fall Fair was all about celebrating the spirit of togetherness and community. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and warmth, while they made lasting memories together! They extend their heartfelt thanks to their incredible parents for their unwavering support and their generous sponsors for becoming a part of their extended family.
International Day
ISB
International Day is the International School of Beijing (ISB)'s very own Expo - a showcase of continents, countries, and cultures represented by ISB families. On Oct 13, the day provided fun-filled ways for students and the whole community to respect and celebrate ISB's diversity through cultural performances, activities and food-tasting. As is school tradition, the celebrations started with a parade of all ISB students, faculty, and staff, many wearing clothing representing their cultures and countries. There were roughly 60 countries and regions represented in their student, parent, staff, and faculty body in total. It was a massive showcase of global citizenship.
YCYW
Founder's Day
On Oct 13, Yew Chung Yew Wah (YCYW) Education Network celebrated Founder's Day to commemorate YCYW's founder "Hau Cheung Po Po" Madam Tsang Chor-Hang, who established the first Yew Chung school in Hong Kong in 1932. With the mission of "honoring China", she devoted her life to education with unparalleled perseverance and talent. On the second Friday of October each year, schools across YAYW organize activities to honor the educational vision and contributions of "Hau Cheung Po Po".
