It’s the most wonderful time of the year and we’re all looking forward to some fun activities to do with our friends and families. Take a look at these events coming to Beijing:

School Events

Join the British School of Beijing (BSB) Shunyi Winter Fayre & German Market on Sat, Dec 9, from 3.30 pm-7 pm! Families and friends are invited to come along for a fun-filled evening! Enjoy a traditional German Market with wooden huts outdoors. There will be vendors selling gift items and a selection of hot food including sausages, goulash soup, fresh waffles, hot chocolate, and mulled wine. Students’ musical performances and the lighting of the tree will add to the festive feel. Children can play games organized by teachers and even have a chance to meet Santa! Try your luck in the Lucky Draw and win a prize. The entrance fee is RMB 10 and will be donated to the charity Dew Drops. Each entrance ticket purchase will grant one free lucky draw raffle ticket.

The Children’s House Christmas Charity Bazaar

Charity Bazaar at CISB

The Canadian International School of Beijing is delighted to announce the much-anticipated Charity Bazaar, set to take place on Sun, Dec 10, from 10 am to 4 pm. 

This event promises to be a spectacular holiday season celebration, offering a unique opportunity for local vendors and community members to come together in a festive atmosphere. It’s a great opportunity for vendors to display their unique products to a diverse and enthusiastic audience. The bazaar will also feature a flea market section dedicated to our younger community members in the spirit of inclusivity and fun. Here, children can experience the joy of entrepreneurship by setting up their stalls to sell old toys and other items. German Kantorei’s Ceremony of Carols

German Kantorei invites you to a very special and rarely performed Concert. Come and listen to Bejamin Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols” and Camille Saint Saens’ “Christmas Oratorio” with children’s choir, adult choir, harp, string quintet, and organ. Give a Present Christmas Market at Zarah

If you’re opting out of consumerism at Christmas, come to Zarah and don’t buy any presents but “give” presents to children in need. The gifts will be sent to the Beijing-based NGO Migrant Children Foundation (MCF), which aims to help disadvantaged children from migrant workers’ families in Beijing. Come and enjoy some freshly baked Christmas Cookies, German Lebkuchen, and homemade waffles, while the lovely scent of roasted almonds and Gluehwine fills the air. If you would still like to support local businesses, it will be a great place to get special gifts such as self-made jewelry, zero-waste products, handmade soaps, cards and illustrations, board games, cashmere scarves, vegan treats, and many other special DIY handicrafts.
