Farmer builds 'iron horse' to pull him around town in style

After 12 long years, one Henan farmer is finally living the dream, getting pulled around inside a carriage by his very own "iron horse."

The homemade steed stands at 1.2 meters tall, is 1.7 meters long and weighs over 100 kg. Dong Xianchen from Huang county built it entirely out of scrap, taking him more than decade.

But all that effort has now paid off. From inside his carriage, Dong is able to control the mechanical horse's speed and direction. Locals are suitably impressed.

Anyway, it seems like a much more efficient mode of transportation than a dog-drawn cart.

Though slightly below the level of a British royal carriage.
