Obese couple lose 200 kg combined to start a family
You might remember a story from a few years back about an obese couple from Sichuan province who resolved to lose weight so that they could have sex and start a family. Well, you'll be happy to know that they are well on their way to doing so.

Two years ago, the couple weighed a combined 400 kg. Now they are down to 200 kg.
Back in 2015, they moved to a hospital in Changchun, Jilin province to undergo gastric bypass surgery. They stayed on at the hospital for more than a year afterward where they continued to lose weight by eating healthy and exercising regularly.
In their weight loss, the couple is driven by their dream of starting a family. Obesity is linked to fertility problems for women and low sperm count for men. Lin and Deng believe that by slimming down they will have a better chance of having a healthy baby and becoming incredible parents.
But before that happens, the couple is still intent on trimming down their waistlines even further.
