Elderly women show off beach bodies at bikini contest
Over the weekend, ladies of a certain age flocked yet again to the city of Tianjin to show off their hot beach bods.
This yearly competition is open only to women over the age of 55, but the average age of contestants usually averages around 70. This year, more than 400 aunties and grannies signed up to strut their stuff at China's most unusual swimwear competition.
Jointly-hosted by the local senior citizens committee and a charitable foundation, the contest is aimed at providing a platform for China's elderly woman to express themselves, promoting a healthy and positive lifestyle while also giving them a chance to show the world that you're never too old to wear a bikini.
Hopefully, the contest never makes its way down to Qingdao.
