Park says they have penguins, visitors only find inflatable toys

To promote its polar exhibition last weekend, a park in the Jiangsu city of Nantong excitedly informed locals that "South Pole penguins are coming to Nantong!" Quickly, the news spread like wildfire on WeChat groups.

On Saturday, dozens of parents arrived at the riverside park with their kids ready to marvel at the adorableness of penguins. However, they soon discovered that they had been had. The penguins were all inflatable.

Which is a bit less exciting.

Though perhaps it's a good thing that real penguins were not flown in, because the park seemed to have a hard enough time keeping the fake ones alive.

In the end, some kids dealt with the disappointment...

... better than others.
