Rolls-Royce worth 5 million yuan swallowed by sinkhole
The National Day holiday isn't off to a great start for one Chinese man who had his ultra-expensive ride swallowed up by the earth on Sunday.
The unfortunate owner of a Rolls-Royce Phantom told reporters that he was waiting at a traffic light in Harbin, about to hit the gas as the light turned green, when instead the road underneath his vehicle suddenly caved in, sending the luxury car toppling hood-first into the abyss.
He added that the car cost him around five million yuan ($750,000), so we're pretty sure he'll be able to afford to pay the tow truck.

Being swallowed by sinkholes is a dangerous possibility on the road in China -- one that's made all the more likely when your attention is elsewhere, as one cell phone-carrying scooter driver in Guangxi found out in August.
