Get your dancing shoes on at The Pearl this weekend, with an evening of funk on Friday and a night of swing on Saturday.
First up is San Franciscan band II Funk ky Shu's wit Nu Soles, who returns to The Pearl to deliver some funky beats. Playing on Friday, October 13, they combines r&b with a touch of funk, a dash of soul, a shot of jazz, and a sprinkle of modern pop for a sound that's incredibly groovy.
The group has performed together for 18 years and have collaborated with soul music giants as Earth Wind and Fire. They've also opened for big-ticket artists including Barry White, Lakeside, Regina Belle, and Morris Day and the Time. With their strong vocals, tight harmonies, and funky rhythm section, this ensemble will have you dancing all night long.

Then on Saturday, October 14, jazz quartet OLD SHANGHAI lands at The Pearl for a night of 1920's swing music.
Inspired by YouTube sensation Postmodern Jukebox. OLD SHANGHAI plays a mix of modern rock and pop songs in a vintage style, and have adapted some of Postmodern Jukebox's hits spanning Nirvana, Daft Punk, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, and Fergie. OLD SHANGHAI also writes their own arrangements of modern songs, giving a new twist to familiar tunes that will have you on your feet all evening.

“OLD SHANGHAI（老上海）”是一支与众不同的爵士四重奏乐队，他们用复古的风格来演绎现代摇滚和流行歌曲，多么奇妙的搭配！该乐队的灵感来源于美国YouTube上超火的Postmodern Jukebox（后现代点唱机）乐队，并改编了权威乐评媒体PMJ（《费城音乐杂志》）上最受欢迎的一些歌曲。他们更自己重新编写现代歌曲，赋予那些脍炙人口的音乐排行榜金曲复古的旋转，将快乐带给所有年龄的观众。
