Revel in the wintertime charm of the Old World at this Christmas market, as the Christkindlmarkt returns to Shanghai once again.

A Christkindlmarkt is a traditional Christmas market that originated in Germany. Typically held in the town square, the outdoor market features stores selling food, drinks, and handicraft items, alongside performances to keep the crowd entertained.

The Christkindlmarkt in Shanghai will be in the same spirit. Taking place in Jing'an, there will be baked apples, chestnuts, gingerbread, and other regional specialties from Germany, which you can wash down with some mulled wine or rum punch.
