Take in the spectacle of Huangshan minus the crowds with this winter trip. The mountain range in Anhui province is famed for its craggy granite peaks, pine trees, sunrise and sunset, and scenery that inspired many classical Chinese ink paintings and literature, which you can now experience in January starting from ¥399.
Taking place on the first weekend of the new year - Jan 6 and 7 (you won't have to ask for leave!) - the trip will be a wonderful opportunity to experience the amazing wonders of the famed Yellow Mountain. You'll be on the road only in the daytime or early evening, avoiding dangerous long-distance mid-night drives.
Throughout the journey, you'll be accompanied by your guide Andy, who has over 10 years' experience in climbing Huangshan. Andy fell in love with the Yellow Mountain since first going there in the summer of 2006, and has been bringing people there frequently in the years since.

THE ITINERARY
Day #1 - Jan 6 (Sat)
05:45 - Meet up at People's Square for bus to Huangshan
14:00 - Arrive at Huangshan trailhead to begin hiking. Hike will be 8 to 10 kilometers, or about 2.5 hours, climbing to an altitude of about 1,000 meters
18:30 - Arrive at accommodations and have dinner
19:30 - Free time
Day #2 - Jan 7 (Sun)
05:00 - Wake up call for sunrise
07:20 - Breakfast at accommodations
08:00 - Continue hiking up the mountain
10:00 - Arrive at the peak for photos, then begin descend
12:30 - Lunch at a local restaurant
13:30 - Bus back to People's Square
