WATCH: High-speed train bursts into flames at Anhui station

A frightening incident occurred earlier today when a high-speed train burst into smoke and flames at an Anhui train station.

The G281 train was heading from Qingdao to Hangzhou when it caught fire at a station in Dingyuan County at around noon. Footage shared on Chinese social media shows a hole seared through the train’s exterior spewing out flames, which firefighters rush to put out.

Fortunately, all passengers on board the train were evacuated and no casualties have been reported.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation, however, it is believed to have been caused by an electrical equipment malfunction.
