Mom can’t stop laughing after son gets head stuck in stool

Kids are known to get their heads stuck in the darndest places, from railings to plastic water pipes to massage beds. Seeing her son with his head trapped in a folding stool recently reduced one Shandong mom to tears — of laughter.

Video has gone viral on Chinese social media showing the poor kid crying as his father tries to figure out how to free his son’s noggin. The footage was shot by the boy’s loving mother, who looks on and laughs her own head on.

The kid is obviously not terribly happy with how much joy his mom is getting out of this, crying even harder and demanding that she stop filming him.

“Okay, I’m not filming, I’m not filming,” the mother says as she continues to film, though she apparently does stop recording a few seconds later.

While a few netizens have accused the woman of being a bad and uncaring mother, most have also taken delight in the footage she recorded.

“Wait a second, just let me send this to my WeChat circle,” writes one Weibo user.

“This video is going to come out at every family reunion from now on,” comments another.

Last year, footage went viral of firefighters in Fujian trying to free a 4-year-old boy’s head from a balcony railing, while the child’s father occupied himself with documenting the moment on his cell phone camera.

Oh, the joys of parenting!
