St. Patrick's Day @ Sasha's


Sasha's is steeping traditions back into St. Patrick's Day by focusing on fun and Irish folk music on Saturday, March 17. Starting from 5pm, get down to the iconic mansion on Dongping Road and soak in the atmosphere with deals on Jameson shots, pours of Bailey's, and pints of Guinness while Irish folk band Boxty Rebellion keeps you entertained.

2018 Swiss Education Fair China @ Swissôtel Grand Shanghai


This education fair aims to build a platform for Swiss educational institutions and provide channels for Chinese students and parents to meet and speak directly with representatives, alumni and delegates from Swiss organizations and universities to learn about the educational system and latest teaching programs in Switzerland. A total of 12 Swiss educational organizations and universities will participate in the fair, including swissnex that represents Swiss higher education, major hotel management schools and renowned private schools.

Danish National Symphony Orchestra Concert @ Shanghai Grand Theatre


Since 1925 the Danish National Symphony Orchestra has been the cultural flagship of DR, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. With Maestro Fabio Luisi as its new Chief Conductor and a succession of prominent guest artists each season, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra is today among Europe’s leading symphony orchestras. Today the Orchestra offers everything from Classical sounds through Roman­tic tone-poems and modern masterpieces to new creations by the com­posers of tomorrow. At the same time, the Orchestra has a special feeling for Danish music – from classics like Carl Nielsen and Niels W. Gade to the very young Danish composing talents.

Lin Daye Conducts Mozart @ Shanghai Symphony Hall


DaYe Lin was born in Shandong, China in 1980. As a child, he studied piano and at the age of 15 began to study conducting with Prof. Xu Xin at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. In 1998, he was accepted into the Shanghai Conservatory of Music to continue his conducting studies with Prof. Zhang Guoyang. During this period DaYe Lin was the guest conductor of the Shanghai Youth Symphony Orchestra and also was given the opportunity to participate in a master-class given by Maestro Seiji Ozawa who praised him highly.

Föllakzoid China Tour @ Bandai Namco Dream Hall


The Chilean band Föllakzoid specialize in the pillowy sort of rock music designed to shield you from the world for a while. Huge, looping riffs stretch across deeply repetitive percussion, creating an atmosphere somewhere between trance and stupor. At its best, their music gains allure by gradually stacking up moments of powerful suggestion.

Casino Demon China Tour @ Modernsky Lab Shanghai


Casino Demon is a Beijing indie rock band who released their classic debut Teenage in 2009. They were one of the first Mainland band to tour North America,     

along with Queen Sea Big Shark and Hedgehog. Their jangly indie rock, lyrical humour and raucously fun live shows have made them perennially adored on China’s underground circuit.

Bohan Phoenix EP Release Party @ HILO


Bohan Phoenix is a massive representation for what the future of music can hold. The NY-based artist raps in two different languages and has been gaining the attention of both Eastern and Western cultures. With his hands dipped into both China and NY, he is becoming unstoppable and tapping into underground culture in a way that's been unseen before. It's a proud moment in Asian American culture to see things change, and Bohan is an example of someone at the forefront of Asians in entertainment and the changing shift in stereotype of the race.
