Wind topples 6 ton statue of China’s 1st emperor Qin Shi Huang

Earlier this week, a 6-ton statue of the mighty Qin Shi Huang was brought to the ground by heavy gusts of wind.

The 19-meter-tall statue of China’s first emperor used to stand in a scenic area in Shandong’s Binzhou city before gale force winds caused the ruler who infamously burned the books and buried the scholars to fall down straight on his face.

Later in the day, workers arrived with a crane to hoist him back up again.

This counts as the worst thing to happen to a former Chinese ruler since a 36-meter-tall golden statue of Mao Zedong in rural Henan province was unceremoniously torn down just before completion.
