Will Vinson has an international reputation as a leader and sideman. All About Jazz New York describes Will as playing “with a relentless force”. Thomas Michelsen of Denmark’s Politiken, hails this “very exciting saxophonist” with a “beautiful, softly modulating tone”, and John Fordham of The Guardian described a "superb solo of rugged leathery sounds turning into mellifluous high notes” with “secure control and storming energy". Time Out London calls will an "exciting young altoist with a lethal approach to writing and soloing”.

Maximilian Hecker: Sea of Silence Concert @ Shanghai Centre Theatre


Maximilian Hecker is a German musician known for airy pop music. After performing as a drummer in a number of small German bands, and after one year of making music in the streets of Berlin, his demo tapes attracted the attention of famous Berlin based record label Kitty-yo Records, who released his debut album "Infinite Love Songs" in 2001. The album was very well received worldwide and even reached the top ten list of the New York Times’ album of the year contest in 2001.

Lydmor @ ALL Club


Danish singer-songwriter Lydmor has been gaining buzz recently after her powerful, provocative performance on 'Gaffa' (think the Danish Grammy Awards) just a short month and a bit ago. Monologues: Revel's World of Shakespeare @ Shanghai Grand Theatre


A one-man show, performed by writer, director, actor and co-founder of Peking University's Institute of World Theatre and Film Joseph Graves, Revel's World of Shakespeare chronicles Graves' own experiences at London's Chelsea School for Boys under the tutelage of Clive T. Revel, a tyrannical, alcoholic professor who saw Shakespeare as a religion (if not a cult), pressing his young charges into terrified service.

Tchaikovsky: Live Music from Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker @ Shanghai Oriental Art Center


Tchaikovsky was a leading Russian composer of the late 19th century, whose works are notable for their melodic inspiration and their orchestration. He is regarded as the master composer for classical ballet, as demonstrated by his scores for Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Sleeping Beauty. Tchaikovsky’s three sumptuous ballet scores are also three of his supreme masterpieces, as remarkable for their emotional content as for the beauty of their melodies and orchestration.

Shanghai Soup @ Xin Che Jian


Shanghai Soup is a fun, non-profit, networking event that provides funding for small projects within Shanghai. At each event they serve soup, sustainably sourced from local businesses; each diner contributes 50rmb for their soup. Four local projects present to the audience and have four minutes to share their idea and answer four questions from the diners. At the end, diners can vote on which project is granted the money.
