It appears that the only place less safe than an elevator for a child alone in China is the inside a Didi car.

Recently, a father in Kunshan, Jiangsu province was busy with work so he decided to book a car to come and take his 9-year-old daughter back home. When the little girl got into the backseat of the car, the Didi Kuaiche driver immediately reached back and touched her hand.

Then, upon arriving at her destination, the driver became more aggressive, pulling the girl towards him before touching her chest and kissing her. Afterward, he told her that “This is our little secret. Don’t tell your family about it,” according to a report from The Paper.

However, after getting out of the car, the little girl immediately called her dad and told him everything. Her father then called the police who later arrested the driver surnamed Wu.

“When I saw her chubby body, I really wanted to touch her face and her hands,” Wu told police when being questioned.

This latest incident will do nothing to help reform Didi Chuxing’s image, which has been destroyed in the wake of a passenger’s murder earlier this month. Before she was killed, the 21-year-old woman had texted a friend that her driver was acting like a pervert, telling her that she is beautiful and that he wants to kiss her.

Responding to the nationwide outrage over the murder, last week Didi announced an assortment of changes aimed at making its services less friendly for creepy men.

However, that is quite a tall task indeed. Over the years there have been a shocking number of stories concerning Didi drivers sexually harassing and exposing themselves to female passengers. Earlier this week, news broke that a Didi driver in Changsha had started playing porn on his display screen after a female passenger entered the car.

Of course, Didi is not the only one that has to deal with the problem of creeps behind the wheel. Last week, a taxi driver in Sichuan lost his license after being caught on tape pulling down a female passenger’s top for a look at her chest while she hunted for some money to pay the fare.
