In order to prove that they have the cleanest restrooms in all of China, one company in Fujian province held an unusual team event earlier this month.

Footage posted online by Pear Video shows more than 20 employees crammed into a bathroom, watching as a female manager takes a handful of rice balls and swirls them around inside a urinal (to simulate them being stir-fried) before popping one in her mouth. The workers then follow suit.

The company, a tea firm based in the city of Zhangzhou, claims that this was not a publicity stunt, but an annual event that dates back 25 years and demonstrates their commitment to cleanliness.

For unfortunate Chinese workers, strange dining experiences are all part of the job. Earlier this month, a group of incoming college students working a summer job at a photo studio in Yichang were forced to eat raw eggs and bitter melon after failing to impress during their first day of work.
