John Cena is a man of many hats. The American is regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers on WWE, and he’s also a Hollywood actor, TV star, and rapper. Now, he can add Lao Gan Ma fan to that list.

Recently, the 41-year-old recored a video of himself in Chinese saying how much he enjoys the Old Godmother brand of chili sauce.

Uploaded to Weibo on September 24, Cena said he’s embracing Chinese culture by putting Lao Gan Ma on his broccoli everyday, and that he wasn’t shooting an ad for the brand. See the full translation of the video below.

Hello Weibo, I’m currently shooting a movie and now I’m on my meal break.

I can’t use my mobile phone while shooting so I’m filming this because they gave me Lao Gan Ma.

I wasn’t familiar with Lao Gan Ma but the Chinese said this is a very good chili sauce.

So now I put a lot of Lao Gan Ma on top of broccoli.

This is not an advertisement. I don’t have any relationship with Lao Gan Ma.

But I think a lot of Chinese like this, I’m trying to embrace Chinese culture.

A lot of Chinese say Lao Gan Ma is part of Chinese culture, so I eat Lao Gan Ma with broccoli everyday.

Really, really good. I really like it.

Based on a traditional chili sauce recipe from Guizhou province, Lao Gan Ma was created in 1996 by Tao Huabi when she was 50 years old. Her face now adorns the label and her company, Lao Gan Ma Food Company, exports the sauce to over 30 countries.

Lao Gan Ma has also garnered recent cultural cachet, with American fashion brand Opening Ceremony using the design on their clothing line.

As for Cena, the star recently appeared in WWE Shanghai early this month, and remains in China shooting the movie Project X, co-starring Jackie Chan. Cena will also appear in the Transformers spinoff Bumblebee, scheduled for December 2018.
