School’s out for the summer in Shanghai, so let your children take up a new skill or improve themselves during the holidays. Held from June to August, there are camps for sports, workshops for budding fashionistas, and therapeutic sessions to help them feel great about themselves. Check out 10 of them below.

The runway beckons @ iShine Studio
Budding fashionistas can experience what the fashion industry is all about at this summer camp by iShine Studio. Covering both Chinese and Western styles, campers will design their own clothing, learn about fabric dyeing, painting, and production, then show off their creations at a runway show. The camps are conducted in Chinese but the coaches are bilingual.

Turn, twist, and split @ Bodylab Rhythmic Gymnastics
Bodylab Rhythmic Gymnastics Summer Intensive Program will focus on body skills technique, flexibility, ballet and dance routine, apparatus technique, new acrobatics skills and more. The course will not only be filled with lots of training, but also has a ton of fun and team building activities. The programs are taught by highly qualified instructors with bachelor and Master’s Degrees in rhythmic gymnastics, dance and physical education. Classes are conducted in English and Chinese.

Future Federers @ ISD tennis camp
Jump start your children’s tennis career with ISD tennis camp, which is offering two programs for children of different ages and abilities. There’s the recreational tennis camp for those new to the game, which will teach them the basics while improving their physical skills, communication, and social awareness. The performance tennis camp is targeted at those with intermediate abilities, and will turn campers into more confident players while accelerating their physical and mental capabilities. Taught in English.

Science and sporting adventures @ Worldstrides Global Camps
Enhance your child’s mind and body at Worldstrides Global Camps. Open to kids between 5 to 12 years old in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou, there are three programs that cover everything from science to sports. The Discovery Program teaches them STEM skills alongside theater and creativity, while the Sports Program covers tennis, golf, horseback riding, and drone piloting. For the little tikes there’s the Junior Explorer Program spanning creative science experiments, hilarious drama games, and age-appropriate sport adventures.

Everyone’s favorite ogre comes to the stage with Shrek The Musical JR. SPORTSWORLD 童励 introduces camps for kids that will expose them to a range of sports while developing them holistically. There’s the explore camp for pre-schoolers designed to ignite a passion for sports through fun and challenging games, activities, and classes. The active camp is targeted at primary school children and builds on their physical and mental development with different games and friendly competitions. Conducted in English with Chinese translation.

Young fashionistas @ Calin Fashion Academy
Kick off your youngster’s creative ride at Calin Fashion Academy‘s Fashionista Summer Camp. Open to teens and young adults, campers get to learn how to design and make clothing from scratch, as well as spot trends and create a collection. This tennis camp by sportED trains players in the best way possible: by getting them to play as much as they can and have fun.
