Three aunties get locked in tense battle over last piece of pork

Shanghaiist Shanghaiist 2019-10-24

For China’s enthusiastic aunties, shopping can sometimes turn into a battle of strength, willpower, and determination.
That was the case earlier this month in the southern region of Guangxi when three elderly shoppers were entwined in an epic contest over the last piece of discounted pork with each auntie holding firmly to the precious piece of meat and refusing to let go.
While the women appeared to make some effort at dividing the pork, it’s unclear what the final outcome of this conflict was. They may well still be standing at the market and fighting to this day.
