Kindergarten teacher arrested for sexually assaulting girl
The education bureau of Shanghai’s Qingpu district has announced that a male kindergarten teacher has been arrested for sexually assaulting a girl.
According to the notice posted on Wednesday, the teacher works at the Qingpu Experimental Kindergarten (青浦实验幼儿园 ) in the western suburbs of Shanghai.
Nothing else about the case has been verified except that the teacher has been arrested, the school’s principal dismissed, and an investigation launched.
The notice immediately ignited outraged on Weibo with Chinese netizens calling for the teacher’s castration.
Some have used the incident to call for a ban against male kindergarten teachers.
