作者在吕霞光画室进修时,受西欧传统油画语言启发,作品风格也深受影响。作品试图以油画的手法和色彩语言重新诠释中国的山水画,从传统绘画中找寻与现代连接的切入点,形成既有传统形式又符合现代审美需求的山水画,将古代的大自然之貌赋予了新的意蕴和境界。

During his stay at the Lu Xiaguang Studio, the artist felt deeplyinfluenced by the traditional artistic language of Western-European oilpainting. The style of this painting proves this point; it is an attempt atreinterpreting Chinese landscape paintings through oil painting techniques andcolors, at seeking an entry point to link up traditional painting withmodernity, resulting in a formally traditional landscape depiction that yetalso conforms to the needs of modern aesthetics. The artist reinvents theconnotation and boundaries of ancient nature.

盛装舞步

如果说自由飞奔源于马的天性,那么盛装舞步则完全依赖于对马的后天调教。作者在巴黎研修期间,曾专程观看欧洲马术锦标赛,被风度优雅的盛装舞步所吸引。同时,作者还观摩了众多以马为主题的作品,并受委拉斯开兹、鲁本斯、大卫等古典主义大师的影响,遂成此作。

Galloping freely may be a horse’s nature, but dressage entirely relieson skills later acquired through conditioning. During his studies in Paris, theartist made a trip especially to attend the European Equestrian Championshipand was attracted by the gracious allures of equestrian dressage. Meanwhile,the artist also observed and emulated numerous works of art which took horsesas subject matter, and was also influenced by classical masters such asVélasquez, Rubens and David, all of which brought him to create this piece.

北方威尼斯布鲁日

Northern Venice – Bruges

布鲁日小城距比利时布鲁塞尔市中心仅1小时车程。这座始建于中世纪的古城,素有“北方威尼斯”“佛兰德珍珠”等美称。城区河渠如网,水巷纵横,风光旖旎,古式房屋鳞次栉比,仍保留有浑厚的中世纪风貌。画家赴布鲁日当日雨过天晴,风景清新宁静,成此作以记。

The small town of Bruges in Belgium is only one hour’s drive away fromdowntown Brussels. This ancient town dating back to the Middle Ages is alsoknown by the sobriquets of “Northern Venice” and “Pearl of the Flanders”, amongothers. In the city, waterways form an intricate network, crossing with alleywaysvertically and horizontally. It offers exquisite sceneries; rows after rows ofold-style residences have preserved their medieval unsophisticated allures. Onthe day the artist visited Bruges the sun started to shine after the rain,offering fresh new sights of tranquility, inspiring him to create this work.

卢浮宫杜勒丽花园

The Louvre’s Jardin des Tuileries

作品中描绘的卢浮宫杜勒丽花园,位于卢浮宫与协和广场之间,一边依傍塞纳河,原为法国王室花园,法国大革命后改为国家花园。花园内陈列许多雕像,有“露天博物馆”之称。巴黎市民在此消闲散步,也被认为是巴黎最令人着迷的花园之一。

This painting depicts the Louvre’s Garden of Tuileries, located betweenthe Louvre and the Place de la Concorde, falling back on the Seine River. Itwas once the French Royal Garden, and become a national garden after the greatFrench Revolution. Within the garden many sculptures have been put up fordisplay, which have earned it the sobriquet of “open-air museum”. Citizen ofParis come here for leisure walks, as it is also considered one of the mostcharming gardens in the city.

位于诺曼底省的吉维尼村因莫奈旧居而闻名。时值金秋,巴黎通往的沿途乡村和小镇,都浸染在紫红、橘红、金黄及与这些美丽的暖色对比辉映下的嫩绿、亮黄的色彩之中。作者受印象派油画技法启发,以流畅、高度概括的笔触、丰富微妙的色彩描绘了美丽的法国乡村景色。

The town of Giverny located in Normandy has risen to fame due to Monet’sformer residence. Upon fall, the small country roads connecting Paris tosmaller towns are all permeated with beautiful hues of fuchsia, vermillion,gold and other warm colors, forming contrasts with the usual tender greens andbright yellows they reflect upon. The artist was enlightened by the techniqueof the impressionist school; he employs smooth and sweeping brushstrokes aswell as subtle and exquisite colors to depict this beautiful scenery of theFrench countryside.

巴黎圣母院之秋忆

Autumnal Memories of Notre Dame

深秋常跟“萧瑟”联系在一起,但秋日的巴黎圣母院在艺术家笔下,却别有一番庄严巍峨的境界。作者借鉴西方经典绘画之精髓,以中国传统绘画之笔墨风格,结合油画、丙烯、拼贴等多种材料元素完成此作。作品笔触粗犷,画风奔放,体现出画家鲜明的艺术个性。

People often associate late autumn with the rustling sound of goldengliding leaves, yet under an artistic brush Notre Dame de Paris during falltakes on otherworldly solemnity. The artist borrows the essence of classicalWestern paintings, while also taking on the traditional Chinese ink wash style,thus combining oil painting, propylene, and collage, among other materials andelements, to realize this work. His brushstrokes are rough, the image is boldand unrestrained, all putting on display the artist’s bright artistictemperament.

维耶尔宗小镇

维耶尔宗小镇位于法国中部,距离巴黎以南200公里,北侧为索洛涅森林,南侧为贝里平原,谢尔河自东向西穿过。受森林环境的影响,维耶尔宗空气清新,气候宜人。作者访法期间曾途经这里,记忆中的晚霞和红叶留在了画面上,幻化为永恒的艳丽色彩。

The small town of Vierzon is located in the center of France, about 200kilometers south of Paris. North of it is the Sologne Forest, and south of itare the Berry plains; the River Cher runs across it from east to west. Due tothe forest environment, the air in Vierzon is fresh, and the climate enjoyable.During his French voyage, the artist visited the area. His memories of theevening glow and red leaves have been recorded here as fantastic and eternal bright colors.

威尼斯别名亚得里亚海的女王”“水都”“桥之城光之城”,堪称世界最浪漫的城市之一。威尼斯的风情总离不开“水”,蜿蜒的水巷,流动的清波,有着“因水而生,因水而美,因水而兴”之说。作者在此停留期间,以画笔忠实地记录下夕阳暖晖中的小城。

Venice is also known under the sobriquets of “Queen of the AdriaticSea”, the “City of Water”, the “City of Bridges”, as well as the “City of theLights”, and it has of course been called one of the world’s most romanticcities over and over again. Venice cannot be separated from the idea of“water”: its meandering water lanes and wavy light streams have brought peopleto say that “water has given Venice its birth, its beauty and its prosperity”.During his stay in Venice, the artist recorded with honest brushstrokes thecity in the warm evening glow.

爱丁堡的郊外

爱丁堡是英国著名的文化古城,苏格兰的首府,建城已有近700年。作品描绘了爱丁堡郊外的田园美景。大片清澈纯净的天空犹如中国画中的留白,呈现辽阔高远之感。远景则水天相接,合为一线。色彩淡雅的楼房、青葱的草木和悠闲的奶牛,给观者以宁静恬淡的视觉享受。

Edinburgh, provincial capital of Scotland, is a famous ancient culturaltown in the United Kingdom; it was build approximately 700 years ago. Thispainting depicts a beautiful pastoral scene in the Edinburgh suburbs. A large,clear and pure sky reminds one of the intentional blanks left in traditionalChinese paintings, giving a sensation of extensive grandeur. In the background,the water and the heavens meet one another in a single line. Residences ofsimple and elegant colors, verdant grass and trees as well as idle cows bringonlookers to enjoy this visually appeasing image.

徐悲鸿与泰戈尔

1940徐悲鸿作为将西方古典精神引入中国传统艺术的先行者应誉满天下的泰戈尔的邀请赴印度讲学。在泰戈尔写下许多诗文的庭院,徐悲鸿与泰戈尔并肩相对而坐,在最近的距离,感受已届老年的大师丰沛的生命力,感受着充满东方文化情怀的精神碰撞。

In 1940, as the pioneer who introduced the essence of Western classicismin traditional Chinese art, Xu Beihong accepted the world-famous RabindranathTagore’s invitation and went to India to give academic lectures. In thecourtyard where Tagore wrote much of his poetry, Xu Beihong and Tagore himselfsaw one next to the other; in the near distance, one can feel the surgingvitality of the two old masters, and feel the spiritual clash of orientalcultures.

吕霞光画室的早晨

作者以饱含温情的画笔,描绘了记忆中吕霞光画室的一个普通的清晨。窗外的街道尚少人行,楼中的居民也许还未起身,仿佛整个世界还未从沉睡中苏醒。窗边画架上的作品可能是画家前夜灵感突现的结晶—画上的风景就是呈现在观者眼前的风景,清幽静雅,醉人心脾。

The artist employs affectionate brushstrokes to depict her memories ofan ordinary morning at the Lu Xiaguang Studio. The streetscape beyond itswindows includes few pedestrians, and as one may guess residents within theseapartments have perhaps not yet awoken; it is as if this whole world was still underthe sandman’s spell. The painting on the easel next to the window is perhapsthe product of an artist’s sudden inspiration the night before – the image itrepresents is the quiet, elegant and charming scene that unfolds beforeonlookers.

吉维尼附近的田野

Field Near Giverny

吉维尼位于巴黎正西70公里的上诺曼底省,在塞纳河谷的一个小山坡上,周围是葱郁的树林和碧绿的草场。莫奈曾在此结庐隐居43年,直至去世。吉维尼从此成了艺术家和游客的朝圣之地。作品以平铺的大色块和简练的笔触,勾画出静谧美丽的小镇。

Giverny is located in Normandy, 70 kilometers westward of Paris, on alowly elevated mountain on the Seine River valley. Its entourage is made up oflush forests and verdant grasslands. Monet formerly lived in seclusion in thissmall town, and did so until his death, after which Giverny became an importantpilgrimage for artists and tourists. The artist tiles big blocks of color andemploys refined brushstrokes to sketch out this beautifully quiet little town.

Monet’s Garden

莫奈曾经住过大半生的庭院中,深秋赋予树木丰富的色彩,金色的阳光投下蓝紫色斑斓的投影,院中酒吧白色的桌椅像跳动的音符。昨夜的秋雨将空气洗得极纯净,深秋的午后阳光无比灿烂,仿佛所有物象都在色彩上跳跃奔腾,使人追忆起当年的艺术大师。

In thecourtyard in which Monet once spend the greater half of his life, the lateautumn bestows trees with rich colors as the golden sunshine casts bluishviolet shadows. In this courtyard the bar’s white tables and chairs resembledancing notes on a musical staff. The late night autumn rain purifies the air,and in the afternoon the sun shines ever so brightly, making it seem as if allobjects were leaping in colors. This image brings onlookers to reflect back onthe life of the great art master.
