他们是来自爱尔兰莱特肯尼理工学院的交换生，

去年底，

他们也结束了自己的交换生的学习生涯回国了。

离开前的他们很认真的写了一封信，

来描述自己这段时间在我们学校的感受。

所以，同学们跟着小编来一起观摩感受看看吧。

Cathal's Experience

My name is Cathal Doherty, I am a computing student at Letterkenny Institute of Technology in Ireland. I came to China along with my 3 friends as part of a new collaboration between LYIT and Neusoft.  I have had a wonderful time during my stay in Qingchengshan making countless memories with some of the nicest people i have met in my life. Everybody from students to teachers have been so friendly and welcoming which has helped us greatly and made the experience so enjoyable. This friendliness helped us to settle in and bypass the language barrier very easily. In my time here i have seen Pandas for the first time and visited many beautiful places, from climbing mount Qingchengshan to visiting the Buddha in Leshan. Although the food here is very different to Ireland, after some time adapting, I found it to be extremely tasty. I am an outgoing person and I love sport, so i was glad when the football team let us join in and kept us entertained throughout our time here. I have made  numerous good friends who i hope to keep in contact with and see again in the future. I  am so thankful to have got this opportunity, I only wish I could stay longer.

Kyle's Experience

Hello everyone.My name is Kyle and I'm one of four

 Irish international students.I have been studying at Nuesoft University for three and half month's.During my time here I've experienced
lots of things thatI would never of have back in my home country.

WhenI first came to the college, I had just been through a 24 hour flight and didn't know what to expect coming to the other side of the world. My first memories of Nuesoft was that of warm and
welcoming gestures.

We felt as though the college put their best effort into making sure we settled in easily to our new life.We got to embrace Chinese culture though learning martial arts,
learning Chinese,practising Chinese drawing and calligraphy and visiting numerous beautiful
scenic areas around Qingchengshan and Chengdu.

The food for me was the biggest challenge at first. In Ireland we put all our food on one plate,
whereas in China, people mostly share food. Sometimes people ordered food I didn't like and I
had to try my best to like it haha.

While I was teaching Spoken English, I was impressed by some students’ work ethic. Some of
them had to attend 7am classes and then their normal classes during the day.Some even had
evening classes! The students did make our lives easier at Nuesoft as they were kind, generous
and welcoming. I remember the first few weeks we got a lot of stares from people which was
embarrassing for us.

For a college the size of Nuesoft, I would've liked to see maybe more opportunities for people to
play together. A lot of students in the evening stayed indoors, whereas I think if social activities
were held and promoted more, these students would engage and help the atmosphere around
the college. We all played football with the college football team and met a lot of new friends this
way.
I will be very sad to leave Nuesoft, it has been a great opportunity for me to experience a new
culture and I want to say thank you to everyone who made life at Nuesoft much easier.

Closing ceremony speech

Dear all, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen.

On behalf of my friends and I, I would like to extend my most sincere gratitude to you all.

First of all, I would like to thank both the china and Irish governments. Our countries have been friends for over 40 years and we are privileged to be a part of this friendship.

Next, I would like to thank both Chengdu Neusoft University and LYIT, for without whom none of this would be possible. In particular, Chengdu Neusoft University. This college has given the four of us such a fantastic opportunity by inviting us here to both teach and study. It has also allowed us to explore the Chinese culture and has given us the chance to fall in love with China.

In addition, I would like to extend our thanks to both the Foreign Affairs Department and the Foreign National Department. You have treated the four of us very well since the moment we arrived. The student assistants that were assigned to us have helped make our stay here very stress free as they gave us help any time we asked for it.

During our stay here we have been both students and teachers. As students, you granted us the opportunity to study Chinese Language, Martial Arts, Chinese Calligraphy and Chinese Cuisine. We feel these opportunities have given us a great insight to Chinese Culture.

As teachers, we also got the chance to teach hundreds of students during our stay and we are thoroughly impressed with the English level of all of the students. They work very hard. We also had the pleasure of being Spoken English teachers. You assigned us four mentors. They made our teaching experience very enjoyable and soon became our friends.

Lastly, I would like to thank you all once again for this amazing opportunity. I hope this is the first of many visits for myself to both this country and college. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life.
