Gi4DM是由ISPRS组织的系列会议，自2005年起已经连续在世界各地举办了11届。当前世界各国深受地震、山体滑坡、洪水、冰冻、森林火灾等自然灾害影响，特别是2020年以来肆虐全球的新冠肺炎给应急减灾带来了新的挑战，迫切需要学界研讨新的策略、方法和技术，以更好地应对各类灾害。为此ISPRS决策在中国北京举办第12届Gi4DM会议，包括但不限于以下议题：
• 灾害管理用户需求（User needs and requirements）
• 灾害管理技术发展（Technology developments）
• 遥感与摄影测量技术在灾害监测与管理中的应用（Applications of Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry to Disaster Monitoring/Management）
• 数据采集与管理（Data collection and management）
• 数据集成与知识挖掘（Data integration and knowledge discovery）
• 终端用户的交互、可视化与信息更新（End-user environments for interaction, visualization and updating）
• 定位与基于位置的交流（Positioning and location-based communication）
• 辅助导航与疏散（Assisted navigation and evacuation）
• 自动测图（Automated mapping）
• 面向灾害管理的地理信息教育（Geo-information education for disaster management）
• 地理空间分析的开发与共享（Development and sharing of geospatial analytics）
