Miguel Laino

Miguel Laino, an artist originally from southern Spain, expresses his interpretation of his surroundings through loose paint and unique composition.

His process of creating paintings through making collages presents the distinct beauty of combining print media from various time periods. Our curator described Laino’s artwork as “one of the perfect definitions of contemporary.” Laino’s choice of colors provides the visual quality of a continuum from the past while his spontaneous painting style voices his idea of living in the present.
