国际小学的零距离之旅
As part of our unit of inquiry ‘Growing up brings new responsibilities and challenges’ the higher classes decided to visit the international primary section. As many of the children will be heading here in September this was an exciting prospect for the children. Many students have brothers and sisters already attending PCIS so they were hopeful of seeing their siblings during the visit!
At 9:00am all three higher classes boarded buses headed for the primary school. Upon arrival, we were greeted by some very helpful members of the PCIS teaching team who were to be our guides for the morning. Each class arranged the students into three groups to make for a smoother, more enjoyable journey around the school.
Students started off their tour at the library. They were allowed to browse the wide selection of books and even had a bit of time to do some reading! The next place for HC2 to visit was the music room. This room contained many percussion instruments including a drum kit, tambourines and maracas. Students could try their hand at the different instruments under the watchful eye of a very helpful music teacher. Next for the students was the school dormitories. There was more than one comment about how much bigger the beds were than their own at the kindergarten! Next stop was the canteen to see where they will be eating their breakfast and lunch next year.
For the second half of the morning the children were given the opportunity to observe a lesson with one of the grade one classes. Higher Class 2 were treated to a UOI lesson about caring for the forest. This lesson was delivered in Chinese by local teachers and consisted of reading, writing and drawing exercises.
Finally, the children were shown the recreation centre where primary school children perform for each other and for the parents. After that it was back to the kindergarten for lunch and a well-deserved nap!
The students had a great time and it was easy to see their excitement about growing up and embarking on the next step of their lives: primary school!
怀着激动的心情出发啦……
1随着毕业的脚步越来越近，大班的孩子们即将告别幼儿园，进入小学，踏上崭新的人生旅途。为了让孩子们更全面了解小学的学习生活及环境，体验小学生的成长变化，以积极的心态迎接小学生活，5月5日上午，大班组全体孩子们排着队准备出发，激动的讨论声不绝于耳：我们终于要去国际小学啦！我的哥哥姐姐也在那里读书！我去过那里好大好漂亮的……一路上孩子们都带着愉悦的心情！
踏进校园,一切都让孩子们感到新鲜…
2 踏进校园，孩子们热情地向老师们打招呼，认真地倾听Miss Xu ,Miss Jiang和Mr.Bu的介绍。高大的教学楼、绿荫小道，宽敞的教室……眼前的一切让孩子们感到新奇。在Miss Xu ,Miss Jiang和Mr.Bu的带领下，孩子们睁大了好奇的眼睛，仔细地观察校园的每个角落，努力地寻找着小学与幼儿园的不同，一边观察一边和老师、同伴们分享自己的所见所闻。
参观图书馆，孩子做到遵守纪律，保持安静，轻轻地挑选自己感兴趣的书，安静地坐着阅读，离开的时候轻轻地把书放回原位。
参观美术室和音乐室，一双双小眼睛马上被各种各样的乐器吸引住，架子鼓、电子琴、铃铛等等，迫不及待地想去尝试。
参观宿舍，孩子们都在感叹：哥哥姐姐的房间好整齐啊！以后我们就要住在这里啦……
参观餐厅，我们排排坐在椅子上休息，睁大眼睛在寻找美食，看着叔叔阿姨们忙碌的身影。
参观课室，孩子们认认真真地坐在课室后面，竖起小耳朵听着老师讲课，全神贯注地观察哥哥姐姐上课……
通过这次参观活动，孩子们亲眼观察、亲耳聆听、亲身体验，近距离地了解了小学与幼儿园学习生活的不同，感受到小学校园生活的无限魅力，更激发了他们对成长的期待和美好未来的向往！
