人工光合成人工光合成是指模拟植物的光合作用,利用光能或光伏电能催化还原二氧化碳,获得一系列含碳的分子,如甲烷,甲醇等。这些小分子可以作为燃料使用,亦可作为化工生产的基础原料。另一方面,人工光合成被认为可以加速大气碳源的固定,降低CO2浓度,从而为解决温室效应做出贡献。近期Meyer课题组开发出一种聚合物辅助电沉积的方法,制备出了在电活性聚合物薄膜上均匀分散的超微纳米金属Cu-Pd合金催化剂。利用该催化剂来进行二氧化碳的电催化还原,他们获得了比单纯Cu高两倍以上的的甲烷生成效率。他们认为Pd合金中形成的Pd-H与Cu-CO的中间物种之间的协同作用,以及多孔聚合物对CO2的富集作用,是使得活性提高的主要原因。这种制备超微纳米合金催化剂的方法非常简捷,可以用于大规模生产,并有可能直接组合到现有的电解设备中。该工作发表于美国科学院院刊 [3],并被 PHYS.ORG网站报道。
