翔龙鸣凤科学论坛(Long Feng Science Forum)是香港中文大学(深圳)的注册论坛品牌。论坛旗下包含主论坛、研讨会系列和讲座系列活动。理工学院已于2018年8月、2021年8月、2022年8月及12月主办四次主论坛,活动吸引了大量顶尖科学家、优秀青年学者以及各领域产业大咖参与,社会各界反响热烈。在去年的“翔龙鸣凤科学论坛之数学分论坛”中,来自加州理工学院、多伦多大学、中科院等国内外知名大学的青年科研人才分享了他们的最新研究成果。

 

“2023翔龙鸣凤科学论坛”将于2023年8月17日至19日线上举行。本次论坛重点邀请海内外数学及相关领域极具发展潜力的青年拔尖人才与学术新星,通过学术报告分享研究成果及经验,共同探讨学科热点,产生多元化观点碰撞,同时助力学校高层次人才引进与建设。

The Long Feng Science Forum is a registered brand of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. The Forum consists of Main Forum, Workshop Series and Seminar Series. The School of Science and Engineering has hosted four main forums in August 2018, August 2021, August 2022 and December 2022, which have attracted a large number of top scientists, outstanding young scholars and industry leaders in various fields and received overwhelming responses. Last year, young scholars from California Institute of Technology, University of Toronto, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other well-known universities at home and abroad shared their latest research results.

 

The "2023 Long Feng Science Forum" will be held online from August 17 to 19, 2023. The forum will invite young talents and rising stars with high potential in Mathematics at home and abroad to share their research results and experiences through academic reports, discuss the hot spots of the disciplines together, and generate diversified viewpoints to collide, as well as to help the introduction and construction of high-level talents in the university.

 

We are delighted to announce and invite outstanding young academic talents worldwide to apply for the forum, and look forward to your participation!

1. 已经取得(或即将在未来一年内取得)海内外知名大学博士学位;

 

2. 在偏微分方程、计算数学、金融数学、代数、几何、拓扑及其相关交叉研究领域取得显著成绩。





1. Have obtained (or will obtain within a year) a Ph.D. degree from a reputable university at home or abroad.

 

2. Have made significant achievements in the research fields of Partial Differential Equations, Computational Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Topologyand their related interdisciplinary subjects.

Mathematics and Applied Mathematics

数学是研究物质世界与人类思维的本质的学科。该学科旨在用科学语言描述宇宙范围和思维范畴中的各种具体与抽象的现象,为认识与研究世间万物及其运动规律提供思想、观念和分析方法,是学习和研究自然科学、工程技术、社会科学的基础,在人类历史发展和社会生活中发挥着不可替代的作用。在信息化与互联网时代,数学的应用范围更加广泛,在大数据处理、智慧城市、金融分析、风险管理、经济调控等各方面,数学学科的训练为科学技术人员提供了高屋建瓴的全局视野,提供了分析复杂现象、发现普遍规律、发明高效方法的科学基础。 


本专业旨在培养数学思维能力、分析研究能力、规范表达能力,使学生具备扎实的学科基础,及运用数学方法发现、提炼和解决问题的能力。专业课程不仅教授数学基本理论,还将训练学生在物理、化学、能源、生物、工程技术、计算机、互联网技术、商业、金融、管理、生命科学及社会科学等各领域内应用数学方法来解决实际问题。 


Mathematics is a discipline of study on the material world and the nature of human thinking. This discipline is pursued to describe all physical and conceptual phenomena in the universe and in the realm of thought by using scientific language, and to provide theoretical frameworks and methodological tools for investigating and understanding all things in the world and the laws of their motions and changes. Mathematics is the basis of learning and researching natural sciences, engineering and social sciences, and has been playing an irreplaceable role in the development of human history and in social life.  In the age of information and the Internet, the scope of application of mathematics is more extensive. In big data processing, smart city, financial analysis, risk management, economic regulation and other aspects, the training of mathematics provides scientific and technical personnel with a high-level overall vision, and provides the scientific basis and ability of analyzing complex phenomena, discovering general laws, and inventing efficient methods.  


The programme is designed to give students a firm grounding in mathematics and cultivate their mathematical thinking ability, analytical research ability, and standardized expression ability, so that students have a solid subject foundation and the ability to discover, identify and solve problems using mathematical methods. In addition to fundamental mathematical theories, students will be trained in applying mathematical methods to find and solve practical problems in areas as diverse as physics, chemistry, energy, biology, engineering technology, scientific computing, internet technology, business, finance, management, life science and social science.

Financial Engineering* (offered jointly with the SME and the SDS) 

本课程的毕业生具有较强的计量及分析能力,有成为未来金融行业领袖的潜质,并能满足金融行业对人才的需求。毕业生将具备全面的金融建模与预测能力,因此能胜任对计量及分析能力要求极高的职位与工作,例如估值、投资组合分析、资产配置、信用分析、风险模型,以及结构性融资。本课程为毕业生在投资银行、商业与企业银行,以及金融服务单位中的职业发展打下良好基础。 


The programme is set up to meet the finance industry’s demand for graduates with strong quantitative and analytical skills who have the potential to become leaders in the finance industry. Graduates are also equipped with sound financial modelling and forecasting skills, and are ideally suited to positions and tasks that require strong quantitative and analytical skills such as valuation, portfolio analysis, asset allocation, credit analysis, risk modelling, and structured finance. This programme also provides a good foundation for careers in investment banking, commercial and corporate banking and financial services.

黄劲松

黄劲松教授现任香港中文大学(深圳)校长讲座教授。黄教授是一位经验丰富的博士生导师,在表示论、李群和调和分析等领域有丰富的研究经验。他出版了3本书和发表了44篇研究论文,其中一些发表在他所在领域的顶级期刊上,他于1984年获北京大学学士学位,1989年获美国麻省理工学院博士学位,1993年加入香港科技大学担任助理教授,自2013年起担任数学系讲座教授。黄教授于2002年获国家自然科学奖,2004年获裘槎高级研究奖。


Prof. Huang is a well-established scholar in the fields of representation theory, lie groups and harmonic analysis. He has a strong publication record of 3 books and 44 research articles, a number of which are published in top journals in his area.


Prof. Huang received his Bachelor’s degree from Peking University in 1984 and Ph.D. degree from M.I.T. in 1989. He joined The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1933 as an Assistant Professor and has been a Chair Professor in the Department of Mathematics since 2013.


Prof. Huang is the winner of the State Natural Science Award Class II in 2002 and Croucher Senior Research Award in 2004. He is also a rather experienced instructor and Ph.D. advisor.

侯勇教授曾在2015年至2016年期间担任美国高级研究学院会士;2015年至2018年期间于美国普林斯顿大学担任客座教授;2018年至2020年期间于南方科技大学担任数学领域的副教授;现加入香港中文大学(深圳)担任数学领域的副教授。



黄家裕

WONG, Kayue Daniel

研究领域:李群及李代数的表示论

Research Field: Representation theory of lie groups


黄家裕现于香港中文大学(深圳)任职助理教授。他在2003年取得李兆基奖学金,在英国牛津大学华顿学院取得数学硕士学位,其后于美国康奈尔大学获得博士学位。他的研究方向为李群及李代数的表示论,以及它们跟量子化的关系。


Kayue (Daniel) Wong is an assistant professor in Mathematics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He finished his 4-year master’s degree at Wadham College, Oxford University under the Lee Shau Kee Scholarship. Afterwards, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics at Cornell University. His research interests are on representation theory of Lie groups and quantization.



罗才华

罗才华教授2010年本科毕业于四川大学,之后在中科院跟徐飞教授学习,后转到新加坡国立大学在颜维德教授指导下于2018年获得博士学位。在加入香港中文大学(深圳)之前,分别在瑞典查尔姆斯哥德堡大学、以色列巴伊兰大学、香港中文大学从事博士后研究。


Luo Caihua did his undergraduate studies at Sichuan University, then postgraduate studies at Chinese Academy of Sciences, later obtained his PhD degree at the National University of Singapore under the guidance of Prof. Gan Wee Teck in 2018. Before joining CUHK-Shenzhen, he has worked, respectively, as a postdoc at Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg for two years, Bar-Ilan University for one and half years, and CUHK for four months.



黄俊波

HUANG, Junbo Mario

黄俊波博士于2008年在加拿大阿尔伯塔大学获得纯数学专业的理学学士学位,然后分别于2009年和2014年在滑铁卢大学获得数学硕士和博士学位。2013年,他获邀到在爱荷华州立大学举办的美国数学学会部门会议进行学术演讲。2014 年,他在滑铁卢大学的数学院担任学科教师,讲授代数和工程线性代数。2016年6月,他加入香港中文大学(深圳)理工学院担任讲师。他的研究兴趣主要分布在代数组合学,用代数方法去学习包括图在内的离散结构。


Dr. Junbo Huang received his BSc in Pure Mathematics from the University of Alberta in 2008, and received his MMath and PhD from the University of Waterloo in 2009 and 2014, respectively. In 2013, He was invited to speak in the American Mathematical Society sectional meeting held at the Iowa State University. In 2014, he worked as a course instructor in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, where he taught algebra and linear algebra courses. In 2016, he joined, as a lecturer, the School of Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. His research interest lies in algebraic combinatorics, where algebraic techniques are exploited to study discrete objects such as graphs.

倪维明

NI, Wei-Ming

倪维明教授是香港中文大学(深圳)校长讲座教授,执教于理工学院。1972年,他获得台湾大学学士学位。服满两年兵役后,他于1979年获得纽约大学(库朗研究所)博士学位。他曾担任宾夕法尼亚大学助理教授,明尼苏达大学教授。2010年至2017年,他在华东师范大学担任偏微分方程中心主任。


倪教授的研究领域主要是偏微分方程,近十年来专注于生物中的数学问题。他已在相关领域发表100余篇学术论文。倪教授为Journal of Differential Equations主编。他的论文绝大多数发表在国际权威学术杂志上,并被大量地引用,倪教授还是全世界被引用最高的数学家之一。



王学锋

王学锋教授于2019年8月加入香港中文大学(深圳)。在此之前,他在杜兰大学工作了26年,2016-2019年在南方科技大学任职。他一直从事教学工作,从大一微积分到博士生专题课程。王学锋教授的研究领域是偏微分方程(PDE)。他的一些研究课题旨在通过典范的例子在简洁的框架下发现新的数学现象,提供新的视角,展示新的方法。 其它的课题(例如大范围分支理论和Krein-Rutman理论)是为分析应用中出现的日益复杂的PDE模型提供通用的、易操作的工具。


Prior to joining CUHK-Shenzhen in August, 2019, Prof. Wang worked at Tulane University for 26 years; and at Southern University of Science and Technology during 2016-2019. He has  been teaching, non-stop except when he was on sabbatical leaves. He has taught many courses ranging from freshmen Calculus, to topics courses for Ph.D students. Professor Wang's research field is partial differential equations (PDE). Some of his research topics are meant to discover new mathematical phenomena and provide new insights, or demonstrate new methods/ideas via specific, prototype PDEs in a simple and crystal-clear framework; the other topics (e.g. global bifurcation theory, and Krein-Rutman theory) are meant to provide general, yet user-friendly tools for workers to use when attacking sophisticated PDE models arising in applications.



潘兴斌

潘兴斌教授1987年获山东大学数学系博士学位后在浙江大学任教,1993年12月晋升教授,2004年受聘华东师范大学紫江特聘教授,2006年1月受聘华东师大终身教授,2007年12月31日起任二级教授。现任香港中文大学(深圳)理工学院教授。主要研究领域为偏微分方程,包括非线性偏微分方程理论,变分问题,超导、液晶、电磁场的数学理论等。主持国家自然科学基金项目8项、教育部优秀青年教师基金项目、教育部博士点基金项目、上海市浦江人才计划项目等。作为骨干成员参加国家科技部973项目。已发表论文98篇。他在表面超导数学理论的研究成果在国际同行中有一定影响。1995年合作获国家自然科学奖四等奖。1997年入选国家百千万人才工程第一、二层次,教育部跨世纪优秀人才培养计划。2000年入选浙江省高校优秀中青年学科带头人。2006年获国务院特殊津贴。2012年获“宝钢优秀教师奖”。2019年获教育部自然科学奖二等奖(一等奖提名)。


Xingbin Pan is currently a professor at School of Science and Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen, China. He received Ph.D. degree from Shandong University, China, in 1987. Since then, he worked in Zhejiang University till 2004 (Assistant Professor 1987-1991, Associate Professor 1991-1993, Professor 1993-2004), and in East China Normal University from 2004 to 2020 as Zijiang Distinguished Professor. Xingbin Pan has been working on nonlinear partial differential equations and systems, calculus of variations, mathematical theory of superconductivity, liquid crystals and electromagnetism.



陈元

CHEN, Yuan

陈元教授于2014年本科毕业于厦门大学,并于2018年在香港中文大学获得博士学位。在2021年8月加入香港中文大学(深圳)之前,她是密歇根州立大学的博士后。陈元教授的研究方向是偏微分方程以及其应用,特别是某些材料与生物学中偏微分方程解的性质。


Yuan obtained her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Xiamen University in 2014 and PhD degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2018. Before joining CUHK(SZ) in 2021, she had been a postdoctoral fellow at Michigan State University.


Yuan Chen’s background is in nonlinear partial differential equations and its applications, and her research emphasis is on the structure and dynamics of PDEs arising from material science and biology.



李玉田

LI, Yutian

李玉田教授于2005年在吉林大学数学与应用数学专业取得学士学位,之后就读于香港城市大学数学系,分别于2007年和2010年取得硕士和博士学位。从2010年至2012年,他在香港城市大学刘璧如数学科学中心进行博士后研究;2012年至2017年于香港浸会大学数学系任职研究助理教授。他于2017年12月加入香港中文大学(深圳)理工学院担任助理教授。


李教授的研究兴趣包括:分析及应用、偏微分方程、科学计算与数值分析、数理金融等。他在国际主流期刊上发表文章20余篇论文,大部分发表于数学与应用数学领域的顶级期刊上,这些期刊包括:Studies in Applied Mathematics、Applied Mathematical Letters、Analysis and Applications、Constructive Approximations、Proceedings of the Royal Society London A、Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems、Journal of Scientific Computing、Optics Expresses、IEEE Transaction on Microwave Theory and Technologies、Quantitative Finance等。


Prof. LI Yutian received his B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Jilin University in 2005, and the MPhil and PhD degrees in Mathematics both from City University of Hong Kong in 2007 and 2010 respectively. He was a Postdoc Research Fellow at Liu Bie Ju Centre for Mathematical Sciences of City University of Hong Kong from 2010 to 2012. He then worked at Hong Kong Baptist University as a Research Assistant Professor from 2012 to 2017. He Joined the School of Science and Engineering of Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen as an assistant professor in December 2017.


Prof. Li’s research interests include: partial differential equations, applied analysis, scientific computing, mathematical finances. He has published more than 20 papers in recognized journals in mathematics, applied mathematics, engineering and finance, including: Studies in Applied Mathematics, Applied Mathematical Letters, Analysis and Applications, Constructive Approximations, Proceedings of the Royal Society London A, Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems, Journal of Scientific Computing, Optics Expresses, IEEE Transaction on Microwave Theory and Technologies, Quantitative Finance, etc.



胡盛清

胡盛清博士于2013年在四川大学数学学院获得理学学士学位,2018年在北京大学数学科学学院获得博士学位。在博士期间,曾到美国杨百翰大学交流学习一年。2018年至2020年期间,在南京大学数学系从事博士后研究工作。她研究兴趣包括:微分方程与动力系统,KAM理论,Hamilton-Jacobi方程,变分方法等。


Dr. Shengqing Hu received her B.S. from school of Mathematical sciences at Sichuan University in 2013 and her Ph.D. from school of Mathematical Sciences of Peking University in 2018. During her Ph.D, she spent one year in Brigham Young University. From 2018 to 2020, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mathematics of Nanjing University. Her research interests include: differential equations and dynamical systems, KAM theory, Hamilton-Jacobi equation, variational method, etc.

王筱平

王教授1984年获得北京大学数学学士学位,1990年从纽约大学库朗数学研究所(NYU)获得博士学位。他曾在伯克利的数学研究所(MSRI)和科罗拉多大学任博士后。1994年后历任香港科技大学数学系助理教授,副教授,教授,讲座教授及系主任。他还是香港工业与应用数学学会主席。他于2007年获得冯康科学计算奖,他是2016年SIAM材料科学数学会议2019年国际工业和应用数学大会的大会报告人。王教授目前的研究兴趣是:界面问题和多相流的建模与模拟;图像处理;智能制造中的拓扑优化问题以及微磁计算的数值方法。


Prof. Wang received his BSc Degree in mathematics from Peking University in 1984 and his PhD Degree in mathematics from Courant Institute (NYU) in 1990. He was a postdoctoral at MSRI in Berkeley, University of Colorado in Boulder before he moved to the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 1994. He was the Head and Chair Professor of Mathematics Department at HKUST. Prof. Wang is currently a Presidential Chair Professor at SSE/CUHK-Shenzhen. Prof. Wang’s current research interests are: Modeling and Simulations of Interface Problem and Multi-phase Flow; Topology Optimization and Numerical Methods for Micro-magnetics Simulations.  He received Feng Kang Prize of Scientific Computing in 2007 and was a plenary speaker at the SIAM conference on mathematical aspects of materials science (2016) and a plenary speaker at the International Congress of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (2019).



龚世华

GONG, Shihua

研究领域:科学计算与数值分析;有限元;区域分解法;预条件

Research Field: Scientific computing and numerical analysis, finite element, domain decomposition, and preconditioning techniques


龚世华博士在2013年获得中山大学数学系学士学位,2018年获得北京大学计算数学方向博士学位。他曾先后在美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学(2018-2019)和英国巴斯大学(2019-2021)从事博士后研究工作。他的研究方向是多物理场问题的数值算法,包含有限元方法、区域分解法和预条件技术等。


Dr. Gong obtained his bachelor's degree in Information and Computational Science from Sun Yat-sen University in 2013 and a Ph.D. degree in Computational Mathematics from Peking University in 2018. After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral scholar at Pennsylvania State University (2018-2019) and then as a research associate at the University of Bath (2019-2021).


His research interests include scientific computing and numerical analysis, mainly focusing on finite element, domain decomposition methods, and preconditioning techniques for frequency-domain wave equations and multiphysics problems.



贺冬冬

贺冬冬教授于2006年在合肥工业大学数学学院信息与计算科学专业取得学士学位后保送至复旦大学数学科学学院直接攻读博士学位,于2009年结束在复旦三年的直博生学习后前往加拿大约克大学数学与统计系攻读博士学位,于2012年10月取得约克大学应用数学方向博士学位。 从2012年8月到2013年11月,他在香港城市大学数学系从事博士后研究。从2013年9月到2017年10月,他在同济大学航空航天与力学学院担任助理教授(2013年9月-2016年12月)和副教授(2016年12月-2017年10月)。 贺冬冬于2017年11月加入香港中文大学(深圳)理工学院担任助理教授(副研究员)。


贺教授的研究兴趣包括:偏微分方程数值解、数学建模与科学计算、计算流体力学、应用渐近分析等。他已经在国际顶级期刊Journal of Fluid Mechanics、 Journal of Computational Physics、Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering等发表SCI论文30余篇,并主持包括国家自然基金青年基金和面上项目、教育部留学回国人员基金等在内的多个科研项目。


Dongdong He received the B.S. degree in Mathematics from Hefei University of Technology in 2006, then did three years’ graduate study in applied mathematics at Fudan University from 2006 to 2009. Thereafter, he did PhD study at York University, Canada from 2009 to 2012. From August 2012 to November 2013, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Department of Mathematics, City University of Hong Kong. From September 2013 to October 2017, he worked at School of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics, Tongji University as an Assistant Professor (September 2013-December 2016) and the Tenured Associate Professor (December 2016-October 2017). Prof. He joined the School of Science and Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen as an assistant professor in November 2017.


Prof. He’s research interests include numerical methods for partial differential equations, mathematical modelling and scientific computing, computational fluid dynamics, applied asymptotic analysis. He has published more than 30 journal papers, including Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Journal of Computational Physics, Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, etc. And he has been the principal investigator of several research grants, including the NSFC Young scholar fund, NSFC general program and etc.

王东博士现在是香港中文大学(深圳)的助理教授。他的主要研究兴趣包括计算流体力学、计算材料科学、图像处理、优化、及机器学习。


王东博士于2013年在四川大学取得数学的学士学位,于2017年在香港科技大学取得应用数学博士学位。他的博士毕业论文题目为“阈值动力学方法:理论、算法、及应用”。在2020年8月加入香港中文大学(深圳)之前,王东博士曾在美国犹他大学数学系任助理教授讲师。


Dong Wang is an Assistant Professor in the School of Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He has broad interests in analytical and computational methods for problems in applied mathematics, especially in computational fluid dynamics, computational material science, image processing, optimization and machine learning.


After receiving his Bachelor degree in Mathematics from Sichuan University in 2013, Dong earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2017. Before moving to CUHK(SZ), he was an Assistant Professor Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah.

张功球教授于2013年毕业于北京大学(物理学学士);于2017年毕业于香港中文大学系统工程与工程管理学系(博士学位)。随后,他在武汉大学担任助理教授。张教授从2018年10月起加入香港中文大学(深圳)。他的研究兴趣包括开发金融模型、发展高效且具有坚实理论基础的算法来解决金融工程领域的一些重要问题,包括期权定价与对冲,金融风险管理,模型矫正,预测,以及蒙特卡洛模拟。他也对将机器学习方法应用于金融工程问题具有浓厚的兴趣。 


Prof. ZHANG Gongqiu receives his Bachelor degree in physics from Peking University in 2013 and PhD degree in 2017 from the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. After that, he served as an assistant professor at Wuhan University. Prof. Zhang joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen in October 2018. His research focuses on developing realistic models that capture key features of financial data, and computationally efficient algorithms with solid theoretical foundation for a range of problems, including option pricing and hedging, financial risk management, model calibration, prediction and Monte Carlo simulation. He is also interested in utilizing deep learning methods for solving financial engineering problems.



刘杨

Yang Liu is an assistant professor in mathematics in the School of Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Prior to that, he was a postdoc in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University and a postdoc in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo. He received his doctoral and bachelor degrees in mathematics at Tsinghua University. His research area includes financial mathematics, actuarial science, operations research and applied probability. He has published articles in SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, Mathematical Finance, Scandinavian Actuarial Journal and North American Actuarial Journal.
