这是位于Temple 东景缘之中的Gathered Sky，也是在亚洲唯三、中国唯一的一处Skyspace 永久陈列的系列作品。 

This is the Gathered Sky by James Turrell, which is the only Skyspace series in China.

进入空间后，你会发现除了渐变的灯光外没有过多的装饰，头顶上方有一个方形的天窗，随着日落的开始、发展和进行，周遭的光线渐渐地将上方的天空聚焦到你的眼前，耳边没有嘈杂的声音。柔和的音乐响起，眼前的天空有着掠过天窗的落叶、飞鸟和浮云；天色渐暗，夕阳消失，取而代之的是一片静谧的夜空，音乐止。这短短一个多小时的日暮时分，却是很多人的第一次悠然而认真地观赏夕阳。

After entering the space, you will find that there is not too much decoration except for the gradual lighting. There is a square skylight above your head. As the sunset begins, develops and progresses, the surrounding light gradually focuses the sky above your eyes. There is no noisy sound in the ear. Soft music sounded, and the sky in front of me was filled with fallen leaves, birds, and clouds passing through the skylight; the sky was getting darker, the setting sun disappeared, replaced by a quiet night sky, and the music stopped. This short hour of sunset is the first time for many people to watch the sunset leisurely and seriously.

在真实的日落时间的推进之中，你不仅可以第一次以这样的方式观赏到日落时天色所发生的变化，你更能在James Turrell 那魔术师般的无穷光线变换中，得到有关天色的全新感受。

James Turrell 是一位出生于 1943 年的美国当代艺术家，被认为是“南加州光与空间运动”的先驱。也许你从未听过他的名字，但是他的作品常常活跃于大众的视野中。他擅长以空间和光线为创作素材，多年来，他一直在探索光作为媒介的多种可能性。

作为观者，眼前的一幕往往是短暂的，真正深刻的是认知。James Turrell追光的经验告诉人们：看见与观看的区别，你看见了什么不代表就是什么。James Turrell用自然光创造出一系列令人惊叹的作品，巧妙融合光、空间与观者的认知，使每位观者都独一无二的体验。虽然光线是触不到摸不着，但James Turrell的作品，像是一个个活生生的对象、一场开放的盛宴。“我的作品不在于我看见了什么，而是关于你的观看。” — James Turrell

James Turrell is an American contemporary artist born in 1943 and is considered a pioneer of the "Southern California Light and Space Movement". Perhaps you have never heard of his name, but his works are often active in the public eye. He is good at using space and light as creative materials. For many years, he has been exploring the various possibilities of light as a medium.

As a viewer, the scene in front of us is often short, but what is really profound is cognition. James Turrell's experience with light tracing tells people the difference between seeing and seeing. What you see is not what you see. James Turrell USES natural light to create astunning series of works that blend light, space and the viewer's perception to create a unique experience for each viewer.
