The Christmas holidays are a great opportunity to spend time reading with your children. Reading is a wonderful bonding experience for parents and children and it is also an essential part of a child’s learning – helping develop literacy skills and their imagination.

When you read together, it’s important to choose an age-appropriate book of the right level so that your child can engage fully, and work towards key reading milestones.

In December’s TimeOut magazine, Head of Primary, Mr James Sweeney, contributed his book suggestions for children aged 6-7 years old, as well as some milestones to work towards.
