Primary Students Net Over 23,000 RMB for Charity!

During YCIS Beijing's "Literacy Enrichment Week" in March, our Primary School's "Read to Feed" charity fundraiser greatly surpassed expectations by raising a whopping 23,912 RMB in a single week! A huge congratulations to them for going above and beyond for such an important cause. 

"Read to Feed," organised by the global non-profit organisation Heifer International, is a fundraiser aimed at ending hunger and poverty in rural areas by raising money through a literacy-based initiative. Donations and funds received during March are going towards improving the living standards of impoverished farmers in remote Chinese villages. Farmers will be provided with various kinds of livestock, such as pigs, cattle and sheep, as well as training on better farming and business practices.
