Chengdu based producer Wu Zhuoling, whose transcendent music wavers between rich, delicate melodies and multi-layered dance rhythms, brings her latest tapestry of sounds to life on her latest Another Shore. Composed over the past few years, the release finds the multi-talented musician diving deeper into her lush ambient soundscapes, as ‘interlocking beats and soulful synthesizer sounds replace the acoustic instruments’. Much like the trance-inducing work of Jon Hopkins, it’s deftly assembled - finding sublime euphoria within its soft yet transfixing melodies which swell organically and gradually and serenely engulf you.

GUAN - The Immortal Tide

Hangzhou producer GUAN cracks open wide his industrial club sound - crafting a dystopian world full of exotic detours and an intrepid narrative streak. Like a headier more abstract version of The Matrix, the ‘story’ follows our main character’s escape from the "garden" and their journey to find the "immortal”, all the while encountering carnivalesque curiosities and hindrances in its dual worlds. While the producer's knack for hard-hitting skull-spinning dance floor bangers remains as strong as ever, the album relishes the opportunity to slice in elements of IDM, techno, acid and ambient music amongst its synthesizer modulations and otherworldly samples (as well as tapping guests like rapper G94 and singer Yider to join in on the fun) - forging in the process one of the year’s finest new electronic releases - a pulsating exhilarating journey well worth taking.

33EMYBW / Gooooose - Trans-Aeon Express

Borne out London based visual artist Weirdcore’s first solo exhibition ‘Orient Flux’ in Beijing - the latest from Shanghai maverick producer power couple Gooooose and 33EMYBW expands and refines on their collaboration with that project - the ‘Trans-Aeon Express’ - and its 7 interconnecting audio-visual installations which formed a ‘train station from the future’. Spilt between the chameleon producers, it leans into the pair's more cinematic and ambient sensibilities, fashioning a vibrant stimulating sci-fi ‘spatio-temporal journey through time’. 

灵感源于伦敦视觉艺术家 Weirdcore 在北京的首次个展 《东方恒变(Orient Flux)》——来自上海特立独行的制作人夫妇 Gooooose 和 33EMYBW 在最新作品中，扩展和完善了他们与该项目合作的内容-- Trans-Aeon Express，以及7个相互连接的视听装置，形成一个 "未来火车站"。在这对多变的制作人之间，它更倾向于两人（创造的）电影和氛围感，形成了一趟充满活力的刺激的科幻 "时空之旅"。
