谁在Carsick Cars的舞台上扔了第一支烟？
As someone who has definitely most shamelessly picked up cigarettes after a Carsick Cars show (the key is to pick up anything that’s not a Zhongnanhai), I was immediately drawn to this wonderful new film from GeekShootJack - their first in a new series looking to uncover some of rock and roll best secrets. In the video, released just before Maybe Mars celebrates their 15th anniversary - the crew looks to get to the bottom of who started the trend at D-22 all those years ago.
作为一个在Carsick Cars演出后绝对好意思在地上拾烟的人（关键是捡不到中南海），我立刻被GeekShootJack的这部短片吸引了。这是他们新系列的第一部，旨在揭开一些摇滚乐的可爱秘密。恰好在Maybe Mars庆祝15周年纪念日之时发布的这支视频里，摄制组尝试搞清楚多年前是谁在D-22掀起了这股潮流。
We Are Not Good Band 我们不是好乐队 - Sprain Foot Disco 崴脚迪斯科
If the name didn’t give it away - We Are Not Good Band has their tongue planted firmly in their cheek - and nowhere is that more evident on their quaint disco-laced single ‘Sprain Foot Disco’. Formed last year in the humid city of Xingyi in Guizhou, the band describes their style of ‘Fusion Guailu’ - which originates from the Guailu rice made by the folks of Guizhou using random cooking methods. The music video is all kinds of awesome - a retro-style dancehall comedy made with goofy sincerity.
"我们不是好乐队”——显然这支乐队已经把个性写在脸上。但除了名字直白，他们的风格在他们颇具古味的迪斯科单曲《崴脚迪斯科》中也体现得淋漓尽致。去年在潮湿的贵州兴义市成立，乐队将他们的风格描述为 "融合怪噜"——源于贵州人用随机搭配的烹饪方法制作的怪噜饭。这支MV很棒——一场复古的舞厅喜剧，塞满了笨拙的诚意。
RUBUR - 2022概念影像发布
Shoegaze stalwarts RUBUR returned this summer (after a turbulent year of canceled tours, forced isolation and more) with a new double-single, assembled across time and space amongst its scattered band members. Director Ai Ying captures that swirl of activity and uncertainty here via documentaries, music videos, vlogs, and more - finally accumulating in an absurd jumble of daily moments and memory fragments, both commemorative and detached.
盯鞋的中坚力量RUBUR在今年夏天（在经历了取消巡演、被迫隔离等动荡的一年后）带着新的双单曲回来了，他们分散的乐队成员也跨越时空进行汇合。导演艾英在这里通过纪录片、mv甚至Vlog等种种方式来捕捉这种活动与不确定性的漩涡——最终积累成一份荒诞的混乱——装满了日常时刻和记忆碎片。它是纪念的，也是超脱的。
FAC-D12 - Sword on Da Street 街上的宝剑
Esteemed rapper FAC-D12 who cut his teeth in the underground rap scene as core member and producer for legendary Beijing hip hop group Purple Soul (alongside Jahjah Way and SouthSideSamurai), returned with a new album this month with long-standing hip hop label undaloop records. Old school in the best possible way - it’s a poetic sword-friendly reminder that the OG rappers of China still have plenty of bite left in them.
受人尊敬的说唱歌手FAC-D12作为北京传奇嘻哈团体Purple Soul（与Jahjah Way和SouthSideSamurai一起）的核心成员和制作人，在地下说唱场景中崭露头角，本月与老牌嘻哈厂牌undaloop records合作推出新专辑。这张专辑以极好的方式呈现着老派风格——也是一种诗意的、友好的提醒——中国的OG说唱歌手仍然很有一套哦！
