Zhaoze 沼泽 - 没有答案风中飘 No Answer Blowin' in the Wind

One of the finest representatives of China’s robust post rock scene, Guangzhou’s Zhaoze, known for their meddling of evocative post rock and guqin-led Chinese folk music, have returned with their newest LP - No Answer Blowin’ in the Wind. A stirring, emotionally fraught collection of dreamy and cinematic soundscapes - their latest feels like a turning point for the juggernaut act - with the band embracing the dissonance and chaos the genre has to offer but also incorporating and experimenting with more and more elements - from electric drums to whistling. When the band goes for the jugular, as on 'Standing in the Wind' it’s devastatingly poignant - but I believe Zhaoze’s latest will be remembered for the way they steer almost recklessly into uncharted waters. 

作为中国强大后摇场景中最好的代表之一，广州的沼泽乐队闻名于对令人回味的后摇和古琴主导的中国民乐的干涉，他们带着最新的全长专辑--《没有答案风中飘》回归。这是一张激动人心、情感洋溢的声音合辑：收录了那些梦幻般、电影般的声景。沼泽的最新专辑感觉像是这个巨擘乐队的一个转折点：乐队接纳了这一类型所能提供的不谐与混乱，但也尝试加入了更多元素——从电鼓到口哨。当乐团切中要害，像是《飒》的呈现那样，是毁灭性的凄美——但我相信沼泽的最新作品会因为他们不顾一切地进入未知领域而被人们记住。

Whale Circus 鲸鱼马戏团 - Vol. 7 - Solareti - About Time And Eternity 索拉里斯—时间与永恒

Contemporary orchestral compositions with a soundtrack veneer and a deft ability to maneuvers through different genres with ease and poise, Whale Circus, the Beijing based instrumental collective led by composer Li Xing Yu, returns with their seventh volume, Solareti - About Time And Eternity. Based on a science fiction short story also written by Li Xing Yu, each track has its own narrative thrust to it - with heightened emotional stakes and a cosmic sheer that offers something for prog rock nerds, neo classical music fanatics, and ambient music junkies. It can come off as a little too polished by rock and roll standards, but there’s no denying the lush cinematic worlds Whale Circus has conjured here. 

鲸鱼马戏团，这个由作曲家李星宇领导的北京器乐团体，带着他们的第七张专辑《鲸鱼马戏团 VOL.7 索拉里斯 —— 时间与永恒》回归，这是一张披着原声带外衣的当代管弦乐作品，他们有能力轻松而优雅地驾驭不同的类型。基于同样由李星宇创作的科幻短篇小说，每首曲子都有它自己的叙事主题——有着更高的情感利害关系和宇宙的纯粹，供前卫摇滚迷、新古典乐迷和氛围乐迷聆听。从摇滚乐的标准来看，它可能会有点太过光鲜，但不可否认的是，鲸鱼马戏团在专辑中创造了一个丰富的电影世界。

Miss Woman - The Beautiful and The Cursed

Over a decade since their debut long-standing Guilin post rock act Miss Woman return with a new EP entitled The Beautiful and The Cursed. Leaning into the neoclassical post rock acts such as ef, Miss Woman is as straight forward as it is textual - giving its emotional and melodic compositions a more atmospheric touch. Perhaps a bit too refined for some - Miss Woman are nevertheless a warm slice of sentimental instrumental rock that will easily stir those who are predestined to post rock in all its forms. 

自他们的首张专辑以来已经过了十余年，桂林老牌后摇乐 Miss Woman 带着一张新的EP: The Beautiful and The Cursed 回归。表现出对像 ef 那样新古典主义的后摇的倾向，Miss Woman 如同文本一样直接了当—— 使其情感和旋律作曲更加大气。也许对某些人来说，Miss  Woman 有点太精致了，然而，Miss Woman 温暖感伤的器乐摇滚，会轻易地打动那些注定要接受各种形式后摇的人。
