世上又失去了一个美好的声音。

当地时间1月15日，爱尔兰乐队小红莓（The Cranberries）主唱桃乐丝·奥瑞沃丹（Dolores O'Riordan）在英国伦敦去世，终年46岁。

Dolores O'Riordan, the lead singer of the Irish band The Cranberries, died in London on Monday, according to a statement from her publicist.

爱尔兰乐队小红莓主唱桃乐丝·奥瑞沃丹的经纪人发布声明称，奥瑞沃丹于15日在伦敦去世。

小红莓乐队的社交媒体官方账号发布声明称其“突然”（suddenly）死亡，但并未提供更多细节：

“Irish and international singer Dolores O’Riordan has died suddenly in London today. She was 46 years old. The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries, was in London for a short recording session. No further details are available at this time. ”

“Family members are devastated to hear the breaking news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said the police were called to a hotel in Park Lane at 09:05 GMT on Monday, where "a woman in her mid-40s" was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is, at this stage, unexplained.

The singer was arrested over an alleged air rage incident in 2014. O'Riordan was taken to hospital in Limerick after being questioned by police and later discharged.

“Ode to My Family” followed “Zombie” as the second, and nearly as successful, single from the sophomore album No Need to Argue. O’Riordan composed a string arrangement for the song, and wrote it in response to her newfound success, nostalgically looking back on the simplicity of childhood.
